The Role
The Manager, Revenue Accounting serves as a strategic leader and technical expert, overseeing complex revenue transactions while providing thought leadership across the organization. This role will lead the technical revenue accounting function, and help lead the company through various elements of transformation as we continue our rapid growth, including streamlining processes to close our books faster, scaling of financial systems and other workflows, and ensuring adherence to U.S. GAAP. This role will begin as an individual contributor but will likely manage people in the future.
What Youll Do (Essential Functions)
- Lead the technical revenue accounting function. Areas of exposure will include review of contracts with customers, contract modification treatment, third-party arrangements, mergers and acquisitions, and variable consideration.
- Draft technical accounting memos and give ad hoc presentations to executives, auditors, and other key stakeholders.
- Direct the accounting review of contracts with customers, ensuring proper documentation under ASC 606 and that any nonstandard findings are properly documented and accounted for.
- Assist in month end close and contract modification review.
- Train team members on technical revenue accounting and ZoomInfo practices and policies.
- Lead revenue accounting assessments for new product launches, ensuring proper system setup to drive accurate revenue treatment.
- Partner with the financial systems team to drive innovation in Order to Cash and accounting processes through automation and technology enhancements. Ensure the scalability and efficiency of the revenue accounting function to support business growth.

What You Bring (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in technical accounting leadership roles
- Deep expertise in US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and internal controls
- Strong understanding of ASC 606
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Tableau, and other financial systems, including experience leading system implementations
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing staff
- Strong project management skills with ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
- Strategic thinking with ability to understand broader business implications.
- Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present complex information to various stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to influence and drive change across the organization
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels of the organization
- Track record of implementing process improvements and driving efficiency
Helpful to Have (Preferred Qualifications)
- Big 4 or large regional public accounting experience
- Experience with SAP or other major ERP systems
- Familiarity with Salesforce
- International accounting experience
- Experience in a publicly traded company
- Industry-specific expertise relevant to the company's sector
Working Conditions
Normal office environment. Some travel may be required.
