Were looking for a Principal Designer to lead our marketing product at ZoomInfo, with a focus on delivering an outstanding product experience informed by data, AI-driven insights, and deep domain expertise in marketing. In this role, you will shape the entire user journeyestablishing a product vision rooted in customer understanding, leveraging cutting-edge technologies, and crafting cohesive design frameworks that speak to the nuanced needs of todays marketing professionals. Youll partner with cross-functional teams and industry experts to mentor emerging designers, drive data-informed decisions, and ensure every aspect of our marketing product elevates user outcomes. Ultimately, your leadership will ensure that the product harnesses the power of AI, strategic insights, and marketing best practices to deliver intuitive, efficient, and high-impact solutions for our customers.
What Youll Do:
Creating End-to-End Cohesion, Visibility, and Transparency for the Customer Experience
- Champion end-to-end customer journey mapping that leverages marketing domain knowledge and ABM principles, ensuring seamless user experiences across all touchpoints
- Collaborate with Design Systems and Research teams to identify experience gaps, using data analytics and AI to guide iterative improvements with a clear business impact
- Provide frameworks and guidance that help designers and engineers create cohesive, data-informed experiences, enhancing product stickiness and long-term customer value
Leveraging Data, AI & Technological Innovation
- Identify and deploy AI-driven design tools, predictive analytics platforms, and data visualization capabilities that simplify complex marketing workflows and inform design decisions
- Foster a culture of experimentation, where designers test new AI features, data models, and personalization strategies to continually refine the product experience
- Integrate data-driven insights and automation into daily design operations, enabling rapid iteration, targeted improvements, and more meaningful user interactions
Transparency & Communication
- Establish open, data-rich communication channels, ensuring that all stakeholdersfrom marketing and product management to engineeringhave visibility into upcoming initiatives and their potential business impact
- Host regular stand-ups, reviews, and strategy sessions where teams can discuss data findings, AI capabilities, and domain insights that shape design decisions
- Maintain thorough documentation of decision-making rationales, data analysis, and AI-driven experiments to sustain an environment of continuous improvement and accountability
Strategic Alignment & Flexible Support
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Go-to-Market teams to ensure design strategies align with business goals, industry trends, and evolving marketing methodologies
- Quickly pivot resources and design approaches in response to shifts in customer needs, competitor landscapes, or emerging marketing technologies
- Continuously refine the design teams strategic direction, ensuring that investments in data analysis, AI integration, and marketing domain expertise drive meaningful, quantifiable business results
What Youll Bring:
- Significant experience leading design teams in a marketing or ABM context, with a proven ability to harness data and AI to elevate user experiences

You will immerse yourself in the marketing product, its users, and key challenges by reviewing design artifacts, customer journeys, and AI-driven tools to identify pain points and opportunities. Meeting with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, and Marketing will align you on priorities and broader business goals. By analyzing customer data and feedback, youll uncover critical experience gaps and deliver quick wins that demonstrate immediate value. Simultaneously, you will assess team capabilities and establish a culture of experimentation. You will learn best by doing so in your first 30 days, you will roll up your sleeves and help drive a project to completion. You will establish transparent communication channels like weekly reviews and stand-ups.
In Your First 60 Days
You will continue building momentum and focus on high-impact user journeys, youll drive measurable improvements in usability and adoption while collaborating with Product and Engineering to ship enhancements quickly. You will introduce scalable frameworks for rapid iteration and mentor the team to balance speed with quality. Youll demonstrate early wins that position design as a driver of business impact.
In Your First 90 Days
You will deliver high-impact improvements, launching two to three transformational experiences like AI-powered list building or workflow enhancements that improve retention, adoption, and satisfaction. Youll streamline design operations by integrating AI tools into workflows, optimizing processes for speed and consistency, and formalizing design system standards. Through mentorship and fostering rapid experimentation, youll strengthen team performance and delivery.
By Your First 6 Months
You will have delivered measurable improvements in product adoption, retention, and satisfaction by integrating AI-driven tools and optimizing team workflows. Youll establish a scalable design practice that combines speed, quality, and innovation while fostering a high-performing, agile team capable of delivering consistent impact.
By the End of Your First Year
You will have transformed the marketing product into a cutting-edge, AI-driven experience that drives measurable business growth and user success. Your leadership will have delivered significant improvements across the end-to-end customer journey, increasing adoption, engagement, and retention. You will have scaled the design team into a high-performing organization, defined a long-term vision for the product, and positioned design as a strategic driver of innovation and business outcomes.
