What we need
We are looking for an Advanced Software System Analyst to join our Software System Analysis team. Your job will be to extend and develop data and analysis tools to extract information from large data sets generated during testing. You will help define and champion best practices for system analysis and testing and help identify opportunities to improve key functional and performance KPIs.
What we do
The Software System Analysis team is part of the Core Software Engineering organization and is responsible for exercising and analyzing the performance and reliability of the Symbotic warehouse automation system. The team collaborates with experts across the software stack to characterize and validate software and system performance in simulated environments.
What youll do

Establish methods for identifying, measuring, and improving the critical performance factors that contribute to customer-visible operational metrics

Develop data-driven visualization tools to describe and report complex system performance and behaviors

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to design experiments, analyze and interpret results, and develop performance reports to influence system performance improvements and next generation robotic automation solutions

Communicate findings to technical and leadership teams to drive root-cause findings and help drive solution development
What youll need

Masters degree and minimum of 3 years of experience (or Bachelors degree and minimum of 5 years of experience) in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, or Computer Science

Minimum 1 year of experience working as a data scientist or a similar role involving data extraction, analysis and statistical modeling

Experience using data query languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python), statistical/mathematical software (e.g. Matlab, R, etc), and visualization tools (e.g. Tableau)

Experience with source code control, unit testing, design and defect tracking tools

Familiarity with statistical methods, experimental design, and machine learning techniques

Strong analytical, creative problem solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills
Our Environment

Up to 15% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid drivers license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.

The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
