The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Description
We are actively seeking a dynamic Director of Strategy & Alignment to play a pivotal role in leading the successful delivery of the transformative Evergreen program. Evergreen is a multi-year business transformation focused on modernizing our legacy Workers Compensation applications and business processes to drive scalable, secure technology with a focus on stability and efficiency. This high-profile position will involve influencing and engaging with leadership at all levels, including GRS Executive Leadership Team members, and will hold responsibility for driving strategic planning and execution across diverse portfolios and domains.
Responsibilities:
- Drive complex, multi-year and cross-functional business & tech initiatives successfully across the GRS Workers Compensation line of business
- Create clear lines of communication across all relevant teams, identifying and eliminating friction that could impact planning and execution
- Serve as the point of contact for the program- providing consistent, accurate, and timely information about the program, and facilitating tech delivery logistics
- Coordinate communication: Coordinate the creation of executive materials for upward communication in governance cadences (e.g. Steering Committee materials)
- Develop program plan: Develop a comprehensive program plan that aligns with the project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines
- Mitigate risks: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on program objectives
- Oversee execution: Oversee the execution of program activities for the business & functional track of work, tracking progress against the program plan, and ensuring timely completion of milestones and deliverables
- Manage stakeholder relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key business/operations stakeholders, including team members, senior management, and external partners, to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the program lifecycle
- Own the monitoring and measurement of progress and key results
- Operate with limited guidance and direction
Qualifications
- Bachelor`s degree and minimum of 7 years of experience
- Strategic mindset and ability to work cross functionally at a fast pace
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex strategic initiatives, influencing without authority across a wide range of groups
- Advanced initiative management skills governance, influencing, problem solving, pace setting
- Excellent communication skills-written and verbal, utilizing the appropriate medium to align, influence, and drive clarity in ownership of key work
- Quantitative skills with the ability to define and measure success of key initiatives against overall goals
