The Crown Is Yours
The Director, Payroll will have oversight for all the Companys internal and external payroll priorities for North America. This role is responsible for ensuring that the company is compliant with all applicable regulations, delivery of all current and future payroll processing, and overseeing operations and financial statement controls. This role includes developing and implementing best practices, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient and compliant payroll operations across multiple countries. This role is also key in the professional development of the US-based payroll team, with oversight of the international payroll teams as well.
What youll do as a Director, Payroll

Oversee payroll operations for 3,500 North American employees, building processes that can scale in a fast-paced environment.

Review and assess existing payroll, identifying opportunities for payroll and HR process improvements, system enhancements and drive efficiency.

Ensure compliance with all state / local laws and federal regulations and maintain up-to date knowledge of changing laws and regulations including identification of noncompliance that needs to be addressed and remediated

Assess the existing structure of the payroll team and make recommendations for improvement to the leadership team.

Lead program implementations that focus on continuous improvement to build timely, accurate, compliant, agile payroll that provide confidence and trust for our employees.

Act as a resource to management for questions related to payroll and payroll taxes.

Oversee Payroll and Time & Attendance system enhancements, improvements and efficiencies and support improvement projects in Workday and partner closely with the People Operations team.

Collaborate with IT teams to ensure system integrations, data integrity, and security protocols are maintained.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Human Resources, Finance, and IT, to streamline payroll processes and resolve complex issues.

Lead process transformation initiatives of Global payroll systems, including Workday, and other relevant platforms.
What youll bring

Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in global payroll management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation from the American Payroll Association.

Proven experience in managing global payroll teams and operations across multiple countries and regions.

Extensive knowledge of payroll systems, including Workday and other industry-leading platforms.

Comprehensive understanding of US payroll processing, tax compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Experience with payroll transformation from Managed Services vendor to processing in-house.

Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax reporting requirements.

Experience with administration of payroll for various stock compensation plans including but not limited to ESPP, Restricted Stocks and Options.

Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is 158,600.00 USD - 198,300.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
