The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Description
The Director, Talent Consulting leadership role supporting our Global Risk Solutions (GRS) organization is an exciting opportunity offering you the opportunity to lead an engaged and talent team of HR professionals responsible for the delivery and execution of key business and enterprise talent initiatives. In this role, you will partner directly with the GRS Chief Talent Officer and Talent Business Partners to prioritize and execute strategic talent plans enabling Liberty Mutual and GRS to achieve their business goals.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Leads and is accountable for driving the execution and delivery of talent consultation supporting Global Risk Solutions
- Engages regularly with aligned talent or business leadership team to understand business strategy and develop and adjust talent delivery consultation strategy.
- Manages a team (individual contributors and managers) of approximately 20 HR professionals who are responsible for consulting, executing and delivery high impact initiatives, projects and processes that support talent strategies and plans and effective business operations to drive business goals.
- Flexes leadership style to effectively coach and develop employees. Removes barriers and facilitates learning. Creates an engaging, inspiring, and inclusive work environment.
- Partners with Talent Business Partners, CTOs, business leaders, Talent Strategy, and other centers of excellence to manage resourcing for the talent portfolio for a defined SBU or function or team.
- Partners with Talent Business Partners, Sr Director, Talent Consulting, Talent Strategy, and Operational Optimization to prioritize and assign work.
Qualifications
- Bachelor`s degree and 8+ years progressive experience in Human Resources
- Advanced degree and or HR Certifications (PHR, SHRM) preferred
- Advanced knowledge of human resource programs, theory and practices is required
- Highly effective business acumen and ability to leverage HR expertise to meet business needs
- Expert strategic thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex challenges across multiple stakeholder groups
- Expert project management skills including experience in project scoping, planning and execution
- Highly capable at building trust and relationships across multiple stakeholder groups in order to positively influence decisions and actions
- Very capable of managing multiple priorities and addressing competing points of view
- Proven leadership experience including coaching and developing employees and creating an inspiring and inclusive team environment
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Very effective presentation skills
