The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. The Finance team within the USRM organization is seeking a visionary Solution Architect to support our multi-million dollar Billing Modernization Roadmap.
In this role, you will collaborate with capability teams to interpret and design solutions that adhere to our standards and controls, ultimately delivering significant business value. You will play a key role in connecting Solution Engineering with Technology and Portfolio Architecture through Emergent, Transitional, and Intentional Architecture. As a Solution Architect, you will work closely with Solutions Engineers and product teams across USRM, providing expert guidance to ensure our architectural solutions are robust, secure, and innovative. Recognized as a thought leader, you will influence strategic decisions and foster a culture of continuous improvement and technological excellence. Your mission will be to consolidate eight redundant billing systems into one streamlined operation, enhancing digitization for better customer and agent satisfaction. You will manage technical dependencies across integration domains, including Policy, General Ledger, Service, Data, Billing, and Payments. This position reports to the Technology Director of Finance.

Responsibilities
- Contributes to the development the technology strategy and technology roadmaps that enable the business, usually for a specific business capability domain.
- Provides consultation and collaborates with Engineering Managers, business partners and peer groups regarding long and short-range product features. Provides oversight at the business capability domain level influencing decision-making and prioritizing the business and architecture backlog for the aligned development squads.
- Educates and drives adoption of the well-architected framework in order to promote Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, Cost Optimization into cultural norms.
- Contributes to design and development of architecture (integrated process, methodology, framework, software/applications, data, information, and technology) scalable solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards.
- Influences and partners with the Product Owners and engineering teams to align the technical design and strategy with the product roadmap.
- Connects Solution Engineering with Technology and Portfolio Architecture work to ensure sound roadmaps which deliver business value.
- Responsible for prototyping complex, cross platform business solutions to validate newer technologies. Reviews and ensures major architectural designs are consistent, maintainable, flexible and cost-effective solutions. Participates with application and infrastructure design architects to provide guidance for development and releases.
- Maintains collaborative and strategic partnerships between customers, vendors, business partners, and technology teams.
- Shares expertise ensuring that teams are continuously improving and learning together to meet current and future engineering and architecture needs.
Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of agile development methodologies as typically acquired through a Bachelor`s or Master`s degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience
- At least 10 years of related experience
- Knowledgeable in software engineering languages and tools; proficient in new and emerging technologies
- In-depth knowledge of diverse and emerging technologies and new architectural concepts and principles
- In-depth understanding of layered solutions and designs; in-depth understanding of shared software concepts and product features, as well as security minded
- Proficient in all product and system components of technical architecture
- In-depth knowledge of business operations, objectives and strategies; in-depth understanding of global business and technology trends and the financial services industry
- Strong influencing and consensus building skills, and the adaptability to respond to change quickly
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization with diverse backgrounds
- Proven experience with agile practices and expectations
- Highly developed negotiation, consensus building & influencing skills, facilitation and the adaptability to respond to change quickly
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills; strong presentation skills
