Keith Cline, VentureFizz
Michael, thanks so much for joining us.
Michael Meucci, Arcadia
Hey, thanks for having me. How's it going today?
Keith Cline, VentureFizz
It's going great. I'm excited to talk to you because we're gonna talk about Arcadia, which is a company that is growing very aggressively, there's a ton of momentum. And you're in a space where there's obviously a lot of need. And that's data analytics, and how that complements the healthcare industry. So let's unpack that. What does Arcadia do?
Keith Cline, VentureFizz
So at the very foundational level, we partner with health plans and health systems to help them build a longitudinal view of all their information. So healthcare is a really unique industry, we create a lot of data. And there is a huge need to convert that data into information and get it in the hands of people can use it to drive better patient outcomes, better care provider outcomes, and an overall more effective and cost effective health care delivery system. And so we partner with stakeholders, between payers, providers, and life sciences businesses, to create and elevate the use of the data within their ecosystem.
Keith Cline, VentureFizz
And this is a true platform play where there's a lot of different use cases, but it would be, you know, an example or two that you can share.
Michael Meucci, Arcadia
Yeah, it's a really good question. There are dozens of use cases that we enable, on a very, very basic level, like helping a health system or a payer understand the health of the populations they're managing. So how many diabetics Am I managing? Are they getting the requisite preventive care to keep them out of the hospital for acute events that can be prevented, where my patients who may be having a housing crisis need to be referred to a community program, I'm looking at inefficient referrals. And we've all been to the doctor or the doc says, hey, you need a specialist when it called a specialist and schedule an appointment. Sometimes we do it and sometimes we forget. So helping identify where that where the gap may be, and helping make sure that patients get the care that they need in the right setting, and that they have that help navigating.
Keith Cline, VentureFizz
What's the current stage of the business for people that aren't familiar with Arcadia like number of employees? And there's been some exciting news of late as far as the financing rounds. So what's the latest and greatest?
Keith Cline, VentureFizz
Yeah, it's a great question. We're, we're at a really fun stage, you know, where I would say we're at the stage of scaling. So we're, we're just about $100 million in revenue, we have about 450 employees across the United States, we just closed a really fun financing round with VISTA credit partners, which has provided us with a ton of working capital will be profitable at the end of the year. And as I think about where we're growing, it's, it's a little bit of doing the same, you know, we're we've hit that market momentum where we have product market fit, we've got 7075 customers across the country, and we're looking to provide more value to those customers, you know, help them gain better results provide better care to their patients, looking to partner with a number of new payers and providers to help them start their journey or advance their their digital transformation journey. And really excitingly, we just partnered with our first state local government, we're working with the state of California, along with a series of other collaborators to implement our platform to cover their 16 million Medicaid beneficiaries. And we're really excited about that project, because it's a huge number of patients that we can impact the outcomes for. It's also a really interesting population, you know, it's Medicaid. So it's folks who are not always the center of technology, investment in health care, and being able to deploy our platform and help a population that's typically underserved is really exciting.
Keith Cline, VentureFizz
Now, you just alluded to some of these points already. But like, when you think about what's next for Arcadia, like, kind of looking ahead, what do you anticipate?
Michael Meucci, Arcadia
A lot of things I anticipate one, we've been a, we've been a destination partner for health systems and health plans and employees across our markets for the better part of a decade. And we feel really proud of the family, like everyone says their employees are family. But the family we've created, we have a number of employees who have grown up in this business just like myself and our Chief Product tech officer. But as we look towards the future, we're in a really interesting inflection point in technology. In general, you have the rise of generative AI, which is unlocking so much opportunity, you think about the massive amount of data our platform sits on top of it's super well positioned to help be a big part of the transformed healthcare delivery system of tomorrow. And we feel that we're really well positioned to unlock a bunch of the value that generative AI promises to healthcare specifically. I mentioned that we just signed a transformative contract with the state of California and we're really excited about leveraging that that opportunity to help support more larger communities and thinking bigger than the health payer or the health system. But at the same time doing a lot of what we're doing today it's it's partnering with transformative leading health systems and health plans and in individual markets and helping them deploy platforms and really putting the center the patient at the center of the care continuum, and making sure that care decisions benefit design, and ultimately services provided to patients are really focused on what patients actually need at the given time.
Keith Cline, VentureFizz
So hiring at Arcadia, like you guys are growing aggressively. So what's it like working there? What's the culture like?
Michael Meucci, Arcadia
It's great. So we're a remote first company. And that's, that's actually, it was solidified by the pandemic. But before the pandemic, we still have a number of employees who worked all across the country, we have a number of really valuable mentoring and learning opportunities that we're deploying across the plus across the teams to help make sure that in this fully remote environment, we're still creating the right opportunity for our employees to learn from one another, learn more about the industry, there's a lot of upward mobility, I think more than more than half of our VPs and SVPs have been in the business since they were, you know, senior analyst or analysts. And that's something we're really proud of is creating career opportunities for employees who come in and do a good job. We're also a community of data, curious individuals. One of the things that is very, I think unique about our business is you'll oftentimes find team members, whether you're a program manager, or a an engineer, or a CEO, digging into big datasets to find interesting trends, and working with our internal teams to either turn that into new novel IP or working with customers help them understand what's happening inside of their business. So it's a it's a culture of curious explorers, and we really feel strongly about continuing to find those curious explorers who are really invested in transforming healthcare and transforming health outcomes.
Keith Cline, VentureFizz
Now, top tier talent always has options in front of them, regardless of market conditions. So why should Arcadia be on the radar for potential employees?
Michael Meucci, Arcadia
I think that there's there's three primary reasons our cages should be top of radar. The first is, we're a business and we want you to be here for a long time. We want you to be the employer that you come, you perform, you grow, and ultimately become a leader in and that's really important to me, I've spent 15 years in this business, it was my like, effectively second job out of college, and I've had the opportunity to grow through a number of different ranks. And that's not just my story. That's the story of our Chief Product Technology Officer, our Senior Vice President of enterprise customer accounts, and many others in the business. So upward mobility and career. Career Development is a is a key pillar. And I think that's very important. The second is you get the chance to work with some of the best and most exciting new big data technology we've just finished a multi year replatforming and the technology tools if you're a technologist you get to use it Arcadia are truly leading edge and top of market and the 30s you get to work with some of the leading brands and health care state of California in our mountain Cleveland Clinic. All examples of customers have sold out to the Arcadia platform and being able to work with the the market makers in healthcare the folks who are often seen as being in the front of providing the best care the highest valued care is really important and being able to network with those leaders and support them on their journey has been a really rewarding experience for a lot of our employees.
