The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Description
As the Portfolio Director, Sourcing Strategy you will be a part of the People, Purpose & Brand (PP&B) Talent Pipeline organization, a team that partners with business and function leaders to define skill needs for today and tomorrow and co-create offerings in service of selecting and developing our talent and evolving our global workforce to grow and contribute to our shared purpose and enterprise goals.
You will be responsible for partnering with Talent Acquisition and senior leaders to expand and cultivate our enterprise strategy to develop a diverse portfolio of talent sources within and outside Liberty. You will provide global thought leadership on talent sourcing strategy, working closely with the Pipeline Planning and Talent Acquisition teams, as well as senior department leaders to ensure a connected network of talent sources. As a part of the Talent Attraction & Onboarding team, you will also provide global thought leadership which may include partnering, guiding and directing other talent professionals who design and implement talent solutions that can be scaled across the enterprise.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a strategic plan to translate workforce plans into talent sources at the enterprise and business unit/function level based on when the talent and skills are needed, where, and at what capacity.
- Shape talent strategies to ensure access to the right talent, with the right skills that provide them with opportunities for career growth and development (e.g., internal talent ready now or requiring reskilling, external talent, schools, platforms, companies).
- Partner with Global Brand & Communications (GB&C) partners to determine applicable tailored marketing and engagement methodologies for talent sources that align with our employee value proposition.
- Partner with stakeholders to connect talent sourcing strategy to our evolving business strategies to drive progress in our assessment and selection approach.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the economy, industry, competitors, market, and internal data to inform sourcing strategy. Stay updated on innovative sourcing strategies and best practices while continually seeking to achieve and measure ROI across various channels.
- Partner to evolve talent sourcing strategy for external sources of talent with Enterprise Business Process Solutions, M&A, GB&C, and Talent Acquisition.
- Track impact of talent sources on Liberty business outcomes by monitoring initiative progress, KPIs, and business metrics (e.g., quality of hire, retention).
Core Competencies:
- Data and Digital Fluency: Ability to use market research and metrics to shape sourcing strategy.
- Trusted Partner: Demonstrated ability to build collaborative and trusting relationships across all levels of the organization, including senior and executive levels, with a proven ability to manage a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to influence positive outcomes as normally acquired through previous leadership experience.
- Strong Thought Leadership: As demonstrated through writing, presentations and/or participation in professional organizations with the ability to own and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years experience designing and implementing enterprise-wide strategies.
- Adept at problem solving and critical thinking, project management, top-down, executive-level communication, teamwork, partnership, and collaboration, change agility (adapting to changing priorities, drive and resilience) and ownership of the work and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Talent acquisition leadership and strategic sourcing (e.g., use of outsourcing, contingent labor, M&A, job boards, channel strategy); data analysis; strong knowledge of audience segmentation and marketing strategy.
