As a rapidly-growing, venture-backed startup, we are looking for a driven Strategic Sales Associate to help strategize, identify, engage, and qualify new business prospects. You will report to the VP of Sales and be a key member of 1upHealths growth engine.
What you will do:
- 25% market research: Understanding organizations who would benefit from 1upHealths products and services. Identifying and analyzing buyer profiles. Developing compelling messaging that appeals to our buyer profiles. Staying abreast of news and trends in the industry, for your target prospects, and more.
- 50% prospecting: Lead the day-to-day outbound efforts - email, phone, other to engage a prospect in a conversation. Qualify inbound leads and act as the tip of the spear for the 1upHealth sales team. Work collaboratively with Marketing on content creation and campaigns. Work in support of a segment Account Executive to ensure a healthy pipeline of new business opportunities. This is a true hunter mindset.
- 15% reporting and optimization: Tracking progress, documenting in our CRM and other tools, reporting out to the team on progress, wins, learnings, and more.
- 10% education and personal growth: Learning about new product roll out, sales techniques, consistent exposure to senior sales leadership in a start-up environment, providing opportunities for career development.
We are looking for people who have:
- 4+ years experience in a customer-facing role
- High level of grit, enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity
- High energy, entrepreneurial mindset - adaptable in a fast paced startup environment
- Excellent interpersonal, public presentation, written and communication skills
- A true team player, someone who thrives in an collaborative environment and team oriented culture
- BS/BA in business, healthcare, economics, computer science or other relevant field
- Understanding of CRM databases, maintaining contacts, updates and progress
You may also have:
- Prior BDR or sales experience
- Healthcare and health technology experience
- A broad understanding of the marketplace in healthcare, specifically how Payers, ACOS, and Providers operate with one another.
- Knowledge of data platform and data exchange concepts (APIs, JSON, SQL, FHIR, Etc.)
