Social Media Manager
The Social Media Manager at EnergySage is the individual contributor responsible for executing social media efforts across channels, including driving the social editorial calendar, fostering community management, analyzing and optimzing social performance, supporting brand influencer partnerships and employee advocacy programs, as well as contributing to integrated marketing and PR campaigns.
What Youll Do:
Reporting to the Head of Brand and Communications, you will execute and contribute to EnergySages social media strategy and content, increasing awareness and perception of as well as business impact for the EnergySage brand among consumers, businesses, partners, and the clean energy industry at large.
Social media strategy
- Support the creation of a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand awareness and engagement and drive business impact
- Develop and maintain a social media content calendar across channels that aligns with broader content strategy, PR and marketing campaigns, business initiatives, key events, seasonality of the industry, as well as culture and current events
Social media content creation
- Develop social-first content, including text, short-form video, and graphics, for all social channels
- Partner with Design to create and scale content creation
- Craft and schedule posts across channels
Community management
- Create strategy for community management across the various channels, including the development of a social response matrix and proactive approach
- Engage with the online community, respond to comments, and manage online reputation
- Develop ways of working across the organization for areas of overlap including insights, customer service, and tech/product issues
- Identify opportunities to leverage user-generated content and encourage community participation in collaboration with Lifecycle
Advocacy & Partnerships
- Support the operations of an expanded brand partnerships and influencer program
- Liaise with partner teams for cross-sharing opportunities
- Grow adoption of employee and executive advocacy program
Analytics & Platforms
- Analyze social media performance on set cadences
- Adhere to marketing best practices including campaign tracking
- Serve as the go-to contact for social media management tool Sprout and access to native channels
- Stay up to date with the latest trends, functionality, and seasonal opportunities across the social landscape
What We Look For
- 5+ years experience managing social media platforms for a brand or organization, ideally B2C
- A self-starter whos comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple projects, and managing ambiguity
- Media- and culture-savvy, knowing the best way to deliver the best idea at the right time
- Intimate knowledge of in-app creator tools across social platforms and proficient in video editing software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong storytelling ability to synthesize complex subjects and brand priorities into easy-to-understand creative, social-first content
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret metrics to inform social optimization strategies
- Highly collaborative and can work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Understanding of related marketing principles and best practices, including PR, SEO, paid social, and content distribution strategies
- Hands-on experience with a social media management tool, Sprout is a plus
- Previous experience in the renewable energy or sustainability industry is a plus
- Bachelors Degree in marketing or communications or equivalent experience
