- Assess the current content/portfolio and perform gap analysis.
- Interact with subject matter experts from Product Management and Engineering, content developers, and business stakeholders on content design and development to gather learning requirements and course goals.
- Evaluate Engineering product requirements and assess scope of product features and changes.
- Create strategic goals for streamlining processes and development cycles.
- Incorporate proven adult learning principles in all learning plans and asset development.
- Follow the defined development process and write courseware that is industry specific.
- Develop standardized course materials using pre-defined corporate templates, tools and approved methodologies.
- Develop role-based scenario content that supports customer success.
- Participate in LMS administration and content publishing based on customer subscriptions.
- Assist with creating certification program tests to fulfill certification program requirements based on adult learning theory.
- Review course evaluations and document recommendations and product updates into courseware as products evolve.
- Create a synergic subject matter expert program to develop deeper relationships with Product and Engineering.
- Maintain current in training trends, evolving learning theory, and best in class development tools.
- Work with leadership across Customer Experience to create and align goals of the Education Services department and Imprivata.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
- Use of current e-learning development tools Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate; and ancillary creation tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects).
- Solid understanding of software and blended learning courseware development life cycles. Strong knowledge of instructional design and development methodologies.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial time pressure.
- Has in-depth experience and proven success designing and developing learning programs for global technical audiences.
- Has strong educational acumen and is well-versed on instructional best practices for the modern learner.
- Keeps up to date on learning industry trends, insights, new technologies and data.
- Enthusiastic collaborator and can manage a global set of stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
- Demonstrates proven ability to solve complex problems and enhance processes in measurable ways, with ongoing cross-functional communication and clear, concise updates to stakeholders.
- Knowledge of user interaction design, graphic design, typography, color theory, is a plus.
- Industry knowledge in healthcare and/or software security is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, education or related field. Master's Degree in Instructional Design or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 4-7 years experience designing and developing e-learning software content.
