Job Summary
As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a software engineering team and drive Python and JavaScript development on top of a number of AWS Services such as Lambdas and ECR. You will collaborate closely with product managers, product designers, DevOps, Security, and business teams to create the ultimate experience for PatientPoint products. You will be helping with drive development and assisting with design decisions.
In this role, you will demonstrate technical leader-level qualities, lead the conversation, have an eye for brilliant design, articulate the total value of each technical solution, and have a knack for pushing projects from concept to release. You thrive in environments focused on writing code that improves user experience and the overall application's performance. What Youll Do
- Lead an application development team of developers and QA members using Scrum ceremonies and methodologies.
- Lead ongoing development and maintenance activities, including leading code reviews. You will guide the team on best practices.
- Manage your team and ensure completion of coding and QA assignments on time. Ensure quality of deliverables and system-level documentation.
- Collaborate with Architecture and Technical Product teams for solution design.
- Be the Technical Lead and participate in all Scrum processes, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups.
- Improve individual team members' performance, processes, and quality across all teams.
- Support team members training and career goals
- Help to hire and retain top engineering talent.
- Ensure your knowledge of technology and tools is current.
What We Need
- 7+ years of software engineering experience.
- 3+ years of leading software delivery teams.
- Recent hands on Python application experience
- Must reside in Eastern or Central Time Zone.
- Leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and inspire a team
- Experience with Agile development approaches.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, working effectively with cross-functional teams
- A deep understanding of AWS architectures and its potential solutions
- A solid understanding of semantic HTML, CSS, and core JavaScript concepts.
- Experience with one or more modern JavaScript web frameworks such as React, Vue.js, Angular, etc.
- Good understanding of web standards and browser concepts (e.g., how the browser parses and constructs a web page)
- Experience with REST APIs
- Experience with Continuous Integration / Deployment
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field/work experience
- Experience with React ecosystem
- Understanding of Relational databases.
- Experience deploying and integrating with AWS Cloud-based solutions

Base Salary Band: $129,832-$183,000 Annually
