Ketryx is saving and improving lives by making medical software safe and reliable.
In our recent ‘Hiring Unlocked’ Event, we highlighted the Product team. Gabriel Pascualy, Head of Product shares:
What is Ketryx and how is its product team structured?
Ketryx is a software company that focuses on making medical software safe and reliable. The product development organization operates globally and consists of:
- Three product managers split between the Boston headquarters and the Research and Development site in Vienna, Austria.
- A design team led by a Head of Design alongside two designers.
- A engineering team of approximately 20 to 25 developers.
Product managers at Ketryx collaborate closely across these cross-functional teams and international offices, with opportunities for travel between Boston and Vienna.
What candidate profiles does Ketryx look for in product managers?
The Ketryx product team typically hires for two distinct candidate profiles:
- Software-as-a-Service PMs: Candidates with prior experience managing SaaS products. Ideally, these individuals have experience integrating generative AI into user workflows, designing and measuring customer feedback loops, and evaluating AI system performance.
- Regulated Industry PMs: Candidates with experience building regulated products or driving process improvements in regulated delivery pipelines. Deep domain knowledge of the regulated space is highly valued, as technical AI implementation is fully supported by the dedicated AI development team.
How can aspiring product managers transition into a role at Ketryx?
For candidates without a formal background in product management who want to break into the field, Ketryx views internal transitions from client-facing roles as an ideal pathway. Highly recommended starting points include:
- Solutions Engineering and Pre-sales: Excellent for gaining technical product knowledge and customer interaction experience.
- Customer Success and Delivery: Ideal for understanding client pain points and learning how to collaborate cross-functionally within a startup environment.
These departments provide a strong foundation in customer empathy and product mechanics, paving the way for a transition into a product management role.
What active roles is Ketryx hiring for in Boston?
Ketryx is actively expanding its product and design operations in the Boston area with the following positions:
- Service Designer: A role focused on customer experience mapping and user journey mapping, requiring substantial design experience and close collaboration with local product managers and clients.
- Associate Product Manager: A junior product management role suitable for individuals early in their product careers or those transitioning from adjacent technical roles, such as software developers who have participated in product management activities.
