About EliseAI and what they do
EliseAI is a conversation platform powering business conversations, we started off in the multifamily space. So if you submit an inquiry and apartments.com, Zillow, StreetEasy, etc, that traffic comes to us, we use AI to nurture the lead and training questions they might have scheduled the mentor, follow up with them, send them the application etc. More recently, we've tried to take our core technology and apply it to other spaces, which is really interesting.
Details on the tech stack
terms of infrastructure at OECI, we try to keep things really light and allow people to focus on the hard problems. So we use all the managed services and AWS, we happen to be serverless. So we use lambda A lot SQS for messaging and communication. In terms of the language that we use, we use Python predominantly, which is awesome. It's kind of a universal language that everyone speaks. So data scientists, machine learning engineers, software engineers are always on the same page. In terms of the front end, we have a very modern stack. So we use React.
Cool projects engineers get to work on
First and foremost at EliseAI, we think a lot about conversation AI and how we can have the best conversations possible. So we spent a lot of time looking at the cutting edge in the industry and academia and folding that into what we do every day to build the best models possible. So how can we understand the lead best? How can we recommend things to the lead best? How can we take the right action next and the conversation, etc, etc. Another thing that we think a lot about that's adjacent to building the best conversations is actually evaluating conversation. So it's one thing to make improvements, but you need to actually know how you're doing. So we spent a lot of time back testing building frameworks that make it easier to see how we're actually progressing, converting better etc. Yeah.
What to expect during the interview process
The interview process at EliseAI, we really focus on keeping the process quick. And it's fairly standard. So talking to a couple of engineers in the interview process. If that goes well, talking to Tony and Minowa, our CTO and CO respectively, our two founders. After you get an offer, we really tried to extend the opportunity to talk to more people at the company, more engineers, and more people outside appearance roles. We know, there's a lot of stress involved in making a decision on a startup. So we try to offer as many resources as possible to give you an insight into what the company is like before making a decision.
About EliseAI's culture
The culture Elisa is extremely collaborative. So when I come in, I see a lot of people engineering, outside of engineering roles at a whiteboard, just trying to solve problems, we tend to at least say I tried to get the process out of the way so people can grow as much as possible, rather than putting the process in place to restrict people. So definitely a collaborative environment. Another thing that comes to mind about EliseAI's culture is Riberas, I think a lot of people come in. And we really try to encourage people and give them the opportunity to take on ownership to see people come in. And they'll start tackling problems outside of their role, or they'll take on a lot of responsibility really quickly, which I think it's really exciting for someone that's looking to advance their career really quickly, but just grow as a person as a colleague, etc. Really quickly. And I think the last thing, though, that I probably mentioned, about at EliseAI is the engineering culture, we tend to ship really quickly and fail really quickly. I think a lot of companies say that, but we actually kind of really, really try to hold that true. So a lot of times we'll ship features and they won't exactly work or will get really quick feedback. And to us, that's not a loss. That's just the ability to learn more information and deliver a better product. I think the other benefit for that is not just building a better product, but also it helps with the things I talked about previously, like career growth, like the best way to grow as an employee or as a person is to try things and fail and learn from those mistakes and try again. So we've really tried to foster that culture of it's okay to see or it's okay to fail. As long as you've learned you keep going. I think that's really, you know, kind of intoxicating at times because you kind of find that culture and everyone are just trying to grow as quickly as possible, which I feel really it's really exciting for me.
Why now is the ideal time to join
EliseAI is in a really interesting point, I think in its lifetime. We have a really strong product market fit in the multifamily space, which is great because we have customers we have, you know, a business that makes sense that it's providing value to customers. But also we're starting to expand into all of these new opportunities like new industries like health care, which is obviously a massive opportunity, and new products and conversation types within the multifamily space. So I think for someone joining that presents a really interesting opportunity you get to work on all of these green pasture products that aren't really there yet. So you come in and really feel a part of that startup field where you build something you're a part of building something. I think that's something that's really exciting about EliseAI i The other thing is just the conversation United States is obviously very hot right now. It's a growing and exploding space. So it's a good place to position yourself. I would say for the upcoming years.
