We are looking for a passionate and creative collaborator to help us scale up our data and data systems as we continue to integrate with massive communities. Help us improve and scale our data, segment operational and reporting data, and create effective data structures and flows to solve complex problems and support massive write volume for massive customers. Think through tradeoffs, resolve unknowns, prove out approaches, and support Modulate in making key decisions as we solidify our foundations and prepare for the future.
The salary for this position is set at $150,000/yr.

Role Responsibilities:
- Refine, optimize, and scale our existing data sets.
- Identify architectural improvements, patterns and standards that will help us create fast, efficient data systems for high-volume, write-heavy, real-time workflows.
- Collaborate with our engineering teams to create solutions for thorny data problems.
- Collaborate with our Data Analytics team to design access patterns for analytic data.
- Share your knowledge of best practices across domains and collaborate with your colleagues to build shared, effective engineering practices.
- Set the stage for open-ended scaling of data at Modulate.
Desired Qualifications:
- Proficiency working with relational and non-relational databases.
- Experience optimizing data structure and data access patterns for resiliency, speed, and availability.
- Experience working with data flow between systems: networking, pipelines, queues, etc.
- Proficiency in at least one coding language, at least one coding best-practices framework and object-oriented programming.
- Solid communication, organization and collaboration skills.
