About the role
Alloy seeks a business development leader who will drive our efforts to form strategic customer partnerships and business model innovations to contribute to Alloys long-term goals. This individual will play a critical role in developing partnerships via joint development ventures to expand our offerings and drive revenue. The VP of Business Development will also develop, sell, and close large customer projects and government programs while actively informing our product strategy based on customer insights and market trends.
What youll do

Strategic Leadership: Influence product strategy and business model innovations by collaborating with cross-functional teams to align with Alloys long-term goals.

Partnership Development: Identify, establish, and cultivate strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including customers, government agencies, and distributors, to drive revenue and joint ventures. This includes structuring, selling, and closing large-scale customer projects and teaming agreements, ensuring alignment with Alloys objectives and market demands.

Customer Engagement: Work directly with stakeholders in customer organizations to understand their needs, pain points, and opportunities, translating these insights into actionable product, sales, and marketing strategies.

Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential new applications for Alloys products and our Stack Forging technology.

Collaboration: Work closely with customers and Alloys teams to align product, marketing, and sales efforts based on customer feedback and market needs.

Innovation Driving: Foster a culture of innovation within the team, encouraging creative solutions for specific customer needs that enhance Alloys value proposition.
What youll bring

Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.

Minimum of 15 years of experience in business development, sales, or product management, particularly in thermal management, industrial products, defense, metal fabrication, semiconductor, or related fields.

Proven track record of developing and managing strategic partnerships that drive revenue and market expansion.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and technologies, with experience in similar advanced manufacturing techniques, additive or component manufacturing being a plus.

Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Experience in leading teams and driving cross-functional collaboration to achieve strategic goals.

Ability to think strategically and creatively to identify joint development venture opportunities, transforming Alloy from a transactional parts-selling business to a solutions-focused partner.
Additional requirements
This position will require access to information subject to control under U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
