Sales Development Representative (SDR) serves as the first point of contact for potential customers, focusing on prospecting and qualifying leads for the sales team. SDRs play a vital role at the start of the buyer's journey by identifying potential customers, assessing their fit, and coordinating the next steps. This role involves using cold calling, LinkedIn, email, and social media to engage prospects. Success in this position requires strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
The role also provides valuable experience in sales and marketing, with opportunities to advance into positions like Account Executive, Account Manager, or Channel Sales.
Hybrid work arrangement: 3 days in the office in New York, NY, and 2 days working from home
The salary range for this role is 75-85K$ OTE - Range may vary based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Building Relationships: Engage cold leads through calls, emails, and LinkedIn to build trust and interest.
- Qualifying Leads: Evaluate marketing leads and research potential clients to determine fit.
- Presenting: Introduce the company and align clients with suitable products or services.
- Sales Support: Join sales meetings, collaborate with account executives, and report to management.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate customer data and schedule follow-ups.
- Initiate conversations with 250-400 new prospects weekly via calls, emails, LinkedIn, and events to build a strong pipeline. Work with Account Executives and marketing to create and implement pipeline strategies, focusing on outbound prospecting and inbound lead follow-up.
- Research target accounts to identify key decision-makers and personalize messaging to qualify interest in ActiveFence, generating new opportunities.
