About the job:
We are looking for a Junior Support Engineer to support our IT function. This is an exciting opportunity to work at a growing company who are building their internal IT department. We are looking for an individual who enjoys working with and supporting their coworkers and is in search of gaining first-hand experience assisting in the day-to-day delivery of IT services and support.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 1 & 2 level hardware and software support to all internal Intensify staff via email, chat, calls, and in person
- Oversee the daily ticket queue, ensure that priority tickets are solved expediently, and escalations are routed to the IT Operations Manager accordingly
- Monitor and track request through a ticketing and service request platform
- Providing customers with step-by-step guidance to resolve technical problems.
- Identify recurring technical issues and eliminate manual processes through automation.
- M365 Support and Administration (managing users/groups, password/MFA resets, SharePoint access, Desktop Applications, etc.
- Build workflows and automations within our ticketing platform to streamline request and improve process efficiency
- Maintenance of any onsite equipment (office computers, printers, conference rooms, and other office peripherals).
- Assist with internal staff onboarding
- Assist with internal staff offboarding
- Assist with any hardware and software testing as needed
- Assist with software deployments to end users either in person or remotely
- Be an active participant with documentation and writing knowledge base articles, including editing and reviewing documentation created by junior team members
- Help build end user self-help knowledge articles and FAQs
Required Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of work experience in IT helpdesk, desktop support, computer technician, support engineer or a similar technical support role
- Strong knowledge and experience working with and troubleshooting M365 cloud and desktop suite of applications
- Proficiency with an IT helpdesk software
- Experience with any remote support tools (TeamViewer or BeyondTrust for example)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge and/or experience of computer hardware and software troubleshooting (specifically Windows 10/11 and macOS devices)
- Any experience with IT hardware Asset/Inventory management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Fundamental understanding of IT best practices and standards
- Fundamental understanding of IT networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, basic network topologies, networking equipment, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with FreshDesk for ticketing and asset management
- Experience working with an MDM solution (Intune and/or JAMF preferred)
- Experience with Intune Autopilot or Apple Automated Deployment Enrollment
- Experience Apple Business Manager and Apple Support
- Experience with Azure AD/Entra ID
- Experience working with Microsoft Power Automate and PowerShell
