What we need

Symbotic is seeking a Manager, Logistics – Distribution Planning and Execution to own distribution planning and execution in support of successful deployment of complex automation systems. This role is responsible for ensuring materials are positioned, staged, kitted, and released through our warehouse network in alignment with project milestones and site readiness requirements. This role collaborates with upstream supply chain stakeholders to ensure that warehouses are fed with the right mix of materials and release plans to enable efficient, sequenced delivery to installation sites. The Manager, Logistics leads a team and is accountable for aligning warehouse inputs and outputs with operational priorities, installation schedules, and customer project timelines.

What we do

At Symbotic, the Production Control team manages project-based planning and material execution for complex, customer-specific automation systems. This group oversees material coordination, supply execution, and logistics alignment to ensure materials and equipment are available when and where needed to support installation and commissioning. Production Control works closely with other Supply Chain teams, including Sourcing, Procurement, and Supplier partners, to align demand, supply, and execution across large-scale customer projects.

What you’ll do

  • Own and manage site distribution planning activities to ensure warehouse networks are positioned to support installation schedules and site readiness requirements.

  • Translate inbound supply, supplier constraints, and inventory signals into actionable warehouse positioning plans (SKU mix, quantity, and timing).

  • Partner with Inventory Operations to ensure materials received and stored can be effectively staged, kitted, and converted into buildable outputs.

  • Coordinate and partner with warehouse teams to align staging priorities, kitting requirements, and outbound readiness.

  • Define and manage warehouse release strategies to sites, ensuring deliveries are properly sequenced and aligned with installation milestones.

  • Collaborate with Transportation teams to align shipment timing, mode selection, and routing with warehouse release plans.

  • Identify supply chain risks and constraints including material shortages, incomplete mixes, inventory imbalances across warehouses, and misalignment with site schedules, and drive resolution or escalate as needed.

  • Provide structured reporting on site readiness, buildable material availability, and warehouse output performance to stakeholders and leadership.

  • Drive continuous improvement of distribution planning processes to ensure scalable, reliable execution across warehouse networks and project sites.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, distribution planning, or warehouse-related roles.

  • Minimum 2 years of management experience within Operations, Logistics and or warehouse environment.

  • Working knowledge of inventory control and warehouse operations, material staging, kitting, and distribution processes, and transportation planning dependencies.

  • Experience using ERP, WMS, or planning tools to manage inventory flow and execution.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional processes without direct ownership of all execution teams.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions.

  • Ability to balance structured planning with real-time operational execution in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
