Senior Program and Delivery Manager
Job Description
Senior Program and Delivery Manager
Product Operations — Hybrid, US
Mimecast's Product and R&D organization is scaling fast, and we're looking for a senior partner to bring structure, clarity, and momentum to how we plan, prioritize, and deliver. You'll own the roadmap planning system that keeps our goals clearly defined, well-sequenced, and consistently achieved — and you'll be the person leadership turns to when they need to know what's really happening across the portfolio.
This is a role with real influence: you'll shape the systems and rhythms that increase team velocity, equip Engineering and Product Managers to own their outcomes fully, and help identify the friction points holding teams back before they become bigger problems.
What You'll Do
-
Own the roadmap: build and maintain a clear, ranked view of priorities across Product and R&D, grounded in real capacity and realistic commitments.
-
Drive a weekly delivery cadence with leadership — surfacing risks early, resolving blockers, and keeping priorities connected to what teams are actually doing day to day.
-
Champion AI adoption across Product and R&D, embedding AI-powered workflows into planning, documentation, and quality assurance, and tracking the impact.
-
Spot the patterns others miss — recurring friction, misalignment, and systemic blockers — and bring leadership solutions, not just problems.
-
Own the metrics that matter: cycle time, lead time, deployment frequency, and a velocity narrative that drives continuous improvement.
-
Keep a pulse on team health, championing lightweight process that improves flow and pushing back on ceremony that doesn't.
What You'll Bring
-
Demonstrable experience in Technical Program Management, Delivery Management, or Engineering Program Management across multi-team Product and R&D organizations.
-
A track record of owning roadmap planning and execution end-to-end — not just facilitating, but being accountable for the outcome.
-
Strong analytical chops: you can build a metrics framework and turn delivery-flow data into a narrative that drives decisions.
-
Cross-functional influence without relying on authority — you get alignment across Product, R&D, and leadership because people trust your judgment.
-
Fluency in agile delivery, technical enough to hold your own in trade-off and estimation conversations, pragmatic enough not to be dogmatic about frameworks.
-
A genuine interest in AI's role in how Product and R&D teams work, and the drive to accelerate adoption where it counts.
-
High ownership and a team-first mindset — you bring solutions, follow through, and measure yourself by what the team achieves.
