Summary: 

The Digital Media Specialist supports campaign execution and efficiency for the digital marketing team. This role blends hands-on campaign support with strong organizational ownership of key trackers, workflows, and reporting processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and eager to grow within digital marketing while contributing to the day-to-day infrastructure that keeps campaigns and client work running smoothly. 

This position is well-suited for someone early in their digital marketing career who enjoys both tactical campaign work and structured operational responsibilities. 

Responsibilities 

  • Support the setup and execution of paid social media campaigns, including ad creation, targeting setup, audience selection, budget configuration, and ongoing optimization to support performance and pacing. 
  • Assist with monthly digital reporting by compiling performance data, drafting reporting notes, and supporting internal distribution workflows. 
  • Track and organize paid media agreement dates, billing methods, ad spend pacing, and other required details for new and existing clients to ensure accurate setup and ongoing management. 
  • Maintain accurate updates within internal trackers (Smartsheet and other tools) to support visibility across the digital, client success, and other impacted teams. 
  • Maintain and update SEO contract deliverable trackers, including word counts, batch completions, deliverable pacing, and other required details for new and existing clients. 
  • Ensure that all deliverables, reports, and client-facing PDFs are saved in the appropriate folders and follow established file naming and organizational standards. 
  • Support internal process consistency by following documented workflows and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency over time. 

Position Requirements 

  • 1–2 years of relevant professional experience in marketing, communications, digital media, campaign operations, or a related field. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple trackers, deadlines, and recurring tasks consistently. 
  • Experience working with spreadsheets, shared drives, project management platforms, or workflow tools such as Smartsheet. 
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing concepts (paid media, social advertising, SEO, organic social). 
  • Ability and willingness to learn campaign management platforms such as Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads. 
  • Clear written communication skills. 
  • Strong follow-through, initiative, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. 

Preferred (but not required) 

  • Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, organic social media content, and/or SEO concepts. 
  • Experience working with trackers, dashboards, or operational workflows. 
  • Knowledge of higher education and enrollment practices. 

The base salary range for this role is listed below. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
