Their core pillars focus on sleep, strain, and recovery, providing personalized insights, analysis, and coaching to members. The goal of the company is to revolutionize how people understand their bodies and help them reach their physical, mental, and emotional potential.
What is the company culture like at WHOOP?
The culture at WHOOP values diversity and views different backgrounds and experiences as a source of strength. They emphasize being a culture add rather than a culture fit. A defining characteristic of the team is balancing high intensity with high humility, requiring focus and hard work alongside the openness to collaborate and learn from other experts. WHOOP operates with a hybrid working style, where employees work from their headquarters in Fenway a few days a week and have the flexibility to work remotely on other days.
What is the interview process at WHOOP?
The interview process at WHOOP is designed to be streamlined. It begins with an initial introductory call with a member of the recruiting team to discuss your experiences, the company, and the role. The next phase is typically a preliminary round, which may include a technical challenge for engineering roles or a skill-based conversation with the hiring manager. The process concludes with final interviews lasting around two to three hours, giving candidates the opportunity to meet team members and cross-functional partners. Afterward, the team calibrates and shares their final decision.
How can you stand out in a WHOOP interview?
To stand out, candidates should thoroughly research the company using resources like the WHOOP podcast, blog, and articles to ensure alignment with the company mission. When answering questions, you should connect your responses back to past experiences and explain the reasoning behind your past decisions. Additionally, candidates are encouraged to leverage the recruiting team for early feedback on presentations or assignments to ensure they are on the right track.
Why do employees love working at WHOOP?
Employees are driven by the opportunity to tackle innovative challenges and introduce first-of-its-kind metrics to the consumer wearable market. Knowing that the product is used daily by people around the world to achieve a positive impact on their health and life goals provides a strong sense of purpose and fulfillment.
