Hi y’all. My name is Stephen Fumagalli. I’m a principal recruiter here at Imprivata.
We really use digital identity to make user access frictionless and secure—from healthcare to manufacturing and truly everything in between.
In candidates, we look for a few core qualities:
- First, we really want an individual who’s looking to raise the bar. Really seeking opportunities to innovate and contribute ideas, even in small ways, to Imprivata.
- Second is going to be really someone who’s keen on owning the outcome. Really following through on their commitments and really taking responsibility for their results at the end of the day.
- Third is going to be a candidate who’s really willing to stay nimble. They are comfortable adapting to new challenges and will truly try and strive for greatness.
- And then fourth and finally, for us an ideal candidate will really want to win together. Really prioritizing teamwork and ensuring that at the end of the day everyone’s voice is heard whenever it really matters most.
Our interview process can vary a little bit, but typically it will be between about three to four steps, including:
- A call with the recruiter.
- A conversation with the hiring manager.
- An opportunity to meet a few members of the team.
If it is for a technical role, you can anticipate a technical screening sometime during the interview process as well.
I have a couple quick tips that I do always like to provide:
- The first thing is to take a little bit of time to learn about us and what we do here at Imprivata. We have a ton of awesome information on our website that sheds a little bit of light about what’s important to us and what we do here as a company.
- The second item is to come prepared with a few questions during the interview. Whether it be specific to the interviewer or the company or the role, having a few questions can really help us as recruiters understand what that candidate is really looking for in their career journey.
The entire team here at Imprivata is really, really inspired by getting to do meaningful work for the people who need it most in mission-critical industries, and we really provide a value-driven culture. Also for us here at Imprivata, there’s a ton of opportunities for growth and learning with the ability to get mentorship and work cross-functionally with many parts of our organization regardless of role. And I can’t forget to mention as well, the great work-life balance that we provide to our employees and also some fantastic opportunities to really volunteer and give back to the community.
