With the holiday season quickly approaching, we wanted to connect with companies across the tech scene to see how they are taking part and giving back to their communities.
This month, the ERGs at mabl, Women + at mabl, mabl Gives Back, and the mabl Vets and Armed Forces Affinity Group, all participated in programs giving back to the community. Mablers ran in the DAV5k to support disabled Veterans and their families, packed comfort and activity kits for Horizon’s for Homeless Children, and opened a Toys for Toys drop-off site at 38 Chauncy Street in Boston.
In 2023, we launched Sincere Foundation to support organizations and programs in Massachusetts that address food security, housing stability, and safe spaces. To date we have donated $735K to over 40 organizations. Volunteerism is at the heart of our culture and our team takes pride in giving back to our local communities through annual volunteer days, food and toy drives, and company-match donation initiatives.
With so many folks experiencing food insecurity and shrinking or unavailable SNAP benefits, Wistia launched a hybrid food drive initiative to help the community where our HQ is located.
We ran a campaign for the first 2 weeks of November with a goal to donate 300lbs of groceries, and $1,000 in monetary donations, with Wistia matching up to a certain dollar amount.
The campaign concluded with 325lbs of shelf stable items and diapers donated, and $4,000 raised by employees that Wistia matched up to $2,000, totalling $6,000 in funds!
For our seasonal philanthropy efforts, InvoiceCloud launched a “30 Days of Giving” volunteer campaign. For every day this November, we celebrated ways to make a meaningful impact to the local community. We partnered with our ERGs to coordinate activities for all employees, while also offering eight hours of paid volunteer time off for employees to support a cause they’re passionate about. This year’s activities included a Virtual Career Building workshop for women re-entering the workforce, a LGBTQIA+ Virtual Advocacy Action Hour, cloth bag decorating for local schools in India, GenAI virtual mentoring through CareerVillage.org, and a school supply drive at our Boston and India offices.
Veeva believes that giving is personal and entirely employee driven. Through our Veeva Charitable Giving program, every employee receives the equivalent of 1% of their base salary annually to directly support the non-profit(s) of their choice. This approach ensures our charitable impact is directed by individual passion, focusing our collective support on causes that truly matter to our people.
Symbotic supports our local communities through annual charitable initiatives, including a spring United Way fundraiser, a fall food drive for the Merrimack Valley Food Bank, and a holiday donation drive each December. We also proudly sponsor local robotics clubs to help inspire the next generation of innovators. Together, these efforts reflect our ongoing commitment to giving back.
The SmartBear Gives Back program continues to unite our global teams through meaningful community and philanthropic initiatives. This fall, nearly 200 employees participated in SmartBear Goes Pink to support breast cancer research, while our Galway colleagues grew mustaches for Movember to raise awareness and funds for men’s health. We continued our partnership with Cradles to Crayons for the fourth year, volunteering in their Giving Factory to help quality-check donations.
Vestmark’s Heart of Giving reflects our commitment to supporting and uplifting our community. Guided by our “We Before Me” value, we strive to create a culture where giving back is at the heart of what we do.
Over the past year, our team has actively participated in a variety of charitable initiatives. We volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, built care baskets for women undergoing cancer treatment in partnership with Tough Warrior Princess, and helped clean up Lake Quannapowitt on Earth Day. We also stuffed backpacks with school supplies for REACH, are collecting Thanksgiving ingredients for Gina’s Giving Back, and will be having a gift drive to support our local Boys & Girls Club.
PatientPoint is continuing its annual Holiday Give Back tradition by supporting GiveWell’s Top Charities, which identify high-impact, evidence-based organizations that save and improve lives around the world. Through this global donation drive, teammates can contribute to causes providing critical medical care and resources in developing countries. In addition to global giving, local donation opportunities will also be available for the Cincinnati and Tampa teams.
Mimecast is dedicated to community support, partnering with over 40 charitable organizations in 2025 through volunteering, fundraisers, and donation matching. This festive season, our Lexington HQ is engaging in initiatives like Community Servings’ Thanksgiving bake sale, a toy drive with Children’s Services of Roxbury, and special GivingTuesday donation matches, while global teams volunteer at local shelters and hospitals. Together, we’re making a meaningful impact in the communities where we live and work.
