One of the top goals for many companies in the tech industry is to focus on building a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workforce. It is also one of our top goals at VentureFizz in terms of helping to support companies on this important mission.
Companies have different approaches as it relates to how they are addressing their diversity, equity, and inclusion goals, so we thought that it would be valuable to profile companies and what they are doing to accomplish their DEI initiatives.
Making videos is easy, but doing it effectively isn’t. That’s where Wistia comes in. Our end-to-end platform gives businesses the tools they need to create, host, share, and analyze their videos and webinars all in one place.
Please provide a high level statement supporting your DEI mission and objectives?
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging is a central enabler in building a team and an environment where anyone can thrive. We’re embedding DEIB principles into both how we operate (our formal structure) and our culture (norms) to create an environment where anyone can do their best work regardless of their background, identity, or journey. This ongoing work will help us build and maintain a high-performing and engaged workforce that leverages DEIB as a strength in achieving our long-term goals.
What is Wistia doing to attract a more diverse workforce?
Wistia is always proactively looking for the top diverse talent across the continental US, so we believe that our company should reflect that diversity. When it comes to hiring, we prioritize skill, ability, and potential vs. years of experience, industry, etc., and hiring team members before they’ve had a chance to demonstrate their career-best work.

Hear From Our Employees
“Thank you for all that you do organizing the Wistia Pride group, its so cool to see a company not only support but celebrate the individuals and their true identities in an authentic (not solely company serving) way. I’ve never worked at a job that came close to this sort of community building, and I think its really really hard to do.”
