Zus Health
Enterprise Sales Director
Job Description
Who we are
Zus is a shared health data platform designed to accelerate healthcare data interoperability by providing easy-to-use patient data via API, embedded components, and direct EHR integrations. Founded in 2021 by Jonathan Bush, co-founder and former CEO of athenahealth, Zus partners with HIEs and other data networks to aggregate patient clinical history and then translates that history into user-friendly information at the point of care. Zus’s mission is to catalyze healthcare’s greatest inventors by maximizing the value of patient insights – so that they can build up, not around.
We are seeking a scrappy and technically fluent Sales Director to drive adoption of the Zus Aggregated Profile (ZAP) and related platform capabilities among technology-enabled value-based care (VBC) organizations. You are a hands-on seller who will champion both the “why” and the “how” of building on the Zus platform. This role will report to the Vice President of Business Development and Partnerships.
As part of our team, you will be asked to:
- Proactively source and qualify new VBC prospects through outbound outreach, creative networking, and market intelligence
- Build strong relationships with clinical operations leaders, engineering teams, and VBC executives
- Manage deals end-to-end—from discovery to contracting—with a bias toward momentum and closing
- Deliver high-impact, self-run demos of Zus APIs, data services, and components
- Translate customer workflows into clear technical integration plans
- Scope and guide proof-of-concept builds that demonstrate real value
- Articulate how Zus fits into VBC tech stacks, care models, and data workflows
- Understand how VBC organizations use data for risk stratification, care coordination, clinical documentation, and quality performance
- Identify opportunities where Zus can reduce operational burden or enhance care delivery
- Provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering based on real customer needs
- Perform other tasks as assigned
You’re a good fit because you have:
- At least 8 years of recent experience selling complex SaaS application software solutions within the healthcare industry, with a focus on digital health or value-based care organizations
- Consistently hit goals and exceed annual revenue targets
- Able to independently run demos, troubleshoot basic integration questions, and guide technical evaluations
- Proven ability to prospect, open doors, and build pipeline from scratch
- Experience navigating multi-department technical sales cycles (clinical ops, product, engineering, compliance)
- Strong communicator who can simplify technical concepts for diverse audiences
- High integrity, high drive, and a roll-up-your-sleeves approach to winning deals
- Proven track record of acquiring clients, negotiating, and selling platform solutions to executives of healthcare companies
- Data-driven and action-oriented, with the ability to analyze sales data and metrics to inform decision-making and drive results
- High level of integrity, empathy, and professionalism, with a demonstrated ability to build trust and rapport with customers
- Bachelor’s degree
- Willingness to travel and attend conferences as needed to represent Zus Health and engage with potential customers
- Passion for improving healthcare in the US
- A desire to evolve your career at a faster trajectory than your peers
We will offer you…
• Competitive compensation that reflects the value you bring to the team a combination of cash and equity
• Robust benefits that include health insurance, wellness benefits, 401k with a match, unlimited PTO
• Opportunity to work alongside a passionate team that is determined to help change the world (and have fun doing it)
Please Note: Research shows that candidates from underrepresented backgrounds often don’t apply unless they meet 100% of the job criteria. While we have worked to consolidate the minimum qualifications for each role, we aren’t looking for someone who checks each box on a page; we’re looking for active learners and people who care about disrupting the current healthcare system with their unique experiences.
We do not conduct interviews by text nor will we send you a job offer unless you’ve interviewed with multiple people, including the Director of People & Talent, over video interviews. Job scams do exist so please be careful with your personal information.
