Job Description

At WHOOP, we’re on a mission to unlock human performance. WHOOP empowers members to perform at a higher level through a deeper understanding of their bodies and daily lives.

As a People Business Partner (PBP), you will focus on unlocking the performance of our Membership Services team and playing a key role in supporting the globalization of our workforce, particularly in Ireland. You will function as the connective tissue across teams and serve as a utility player who is ready to roll up their sleeves and dive into both strategic initiatives and hands-on people operations work.

This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner closely with Membership Services leaders to ensure a thoughtful, consistent, and people-centered employee experience across regions.
  • Support the administration of the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Guide and support managers on performance management, employee relations, development, conflict resolution, and other day-to-day people matters.
  • Serve as a trusted resource and point of contact to employees for people-related questions and concerns.
  • Provide boots-on-the-ground support for our international teams, especially in Ireland. This requires quarterly travel to build relationships, ensure alignment, and support onsite needs.
  • Support the globalization of people programs and practices, ensuring they are locally relevant while maintaining consistency with our overall culture and standards.
  • Execute project-based and administrative work across key people programs (e.g., review cycles, eNPS, open enrollment, onboarding/offboarding, leave management).
  • Manages benefits administration, ADA requests, leaves of absence, etc.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to scale HR processes, policies, and compliance globally.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4+ years as a People Partner, HR Generalist, or equivalent role with exposure across multiple HR functions.
  • Experience supporting customer-facing or high-growth teams; customer service, supporting hourly employees, and/or international workforce support is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, build strong relationships, and balance tactical execution with strategic thinking.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law; international HR experience or exposure (especially Ireland or EMEA) preferred. Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) certification is a plus!
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; culturally aware and able to foster inclusive, trust-based environments.
  • Comfortable traveling internationally at least quarterly and working occasional off-hours to accommodate global teams and time zones.
  • Must be willing to work a hybrid schedule, coming into our Boston HQ four days a week when not traveling.

Interested in the role but don’t meet every qualification? We encourage you to apply! At WHOOP, we believe there’s more to a candidate than what’s on paper, and we value character as much as experience. As we continue to build a diverse and inclusive environment, we welcome all applicants.
