Business Analyst
Job Description
As a Business Analyst on Vestmark's Efficiencies team, you will drive process optimization and innovation across the organization by leveraging your expertise in business analysis, automation, and AI tools. You will work with cross-functional stakeholders, including Engineering, Product Management, and Client Delivery, to identify opportunities for operational improvements, define requirements, and deliver solutions that maximize efficiency and business value. This role requires a unique blend of analytical rigor, technical acumen, and creative problem-solving.
This position is expected to be Hybrid and based in our headquarters in Wakefield, MA.
Responsibilities
- Elicit business and technical requirements through discussions internal stakeholders across multiple teams
- Understand and document business objectives, operational processes, and pain points to identify efficiency opportunities
- Analyze current and desired business processes to uncover automation and optimization potential
- Coordinate the identification, development, and implementation of solutions against both strategic and tactical requirements
- Serve as Product Owner for Scrum teams working on efficiency initiatives and process improvements
- Validate that configured software and automation solutions satisfy user stories and acceptance criteria
- Present business requirements and proposed solutions to stakeholders
- Support successful delivery of enhancements by providing subject matter expertise throughout the product lifecycle
- Identify and implement opportunities to leverage automation tools and AI technologies to improve operational efficiency
- Champion the adoption of new technologies that can streamline workflows and reduce manual effort
- Develop and maintain expertise in automation solutions applicable to financial services operations
Required Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst with strong knowledge of Agile process and principles
- Demonstrated experience identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiency initiatives
- Knowledge of automation tools and platforms
- Familiarity with AI tools and their application to business processes (e.g., generative AI, machine learning applications, AI-powered analytics)
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills working with customers and internal teams
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
Desired Experience and Skills
- Financial industry knowledge, particularly in portfolio management, portfolio accounting, or trading operations
- Hands-on experience implementing automation or AI solutions in a production environment

Vestmark takes a market-based approach to compensation to ensure we pay fairly and competitively. Compensation for this role depends on several factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, job scope and location.
In addition to base salary, Vestmark offers a comprehensive total rewards package, which includes equity-based grants for all new hires, company-paid medical premiums of 90%, a competitive time-off program, and other variable compensation, if eligible.
