The Inside Sales Representative at Tripleseat drives new sales within the SMB segment. Based in the Boston office, this position focuses on prospecting and building relationships primarily through phone, email, and virtual meetings, showcasing the value of Tripleseat’s event management platform. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless sales process and an excellent customer experience. It requires strong self-motivation, a passion for hospitality and technology, and a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
Location: Monday through Thursday schedule in our Boston Sales Office with initial onboarding at our Concord, MA office. Fridays are remote work days.
Travel Expectations: Minimal travel may be required for occasional company or industry events.
Core Responsibilities
Prospecting & Lead Generation

Identify and engage new SMB sales opportunities by leveraging a high volume of outbound calls (100+ per week), emails, social media, and inbound leads.

Adopt a consultative approach to uncover potential customers’ unique event management or hospitality needs.
Sales Targets

Consistently meet and exceed assigned sales quotas through targeted outbound sales activities.

Maintain an active pipeline to ensure a steady flow of prospects and opportunities.
Customer Engagement & Presentations

Conduct thorough software demonstrations to showcase Tripleseat’s features, benefits, and technical capabilities.

Customize proposals to address specific customer pain points and demonstrate return on investment (ROI).
Collaboration & Pipeline Management

Partner with Account Management, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure smooth handoffs and positive client experiences.

Maintain accurate records within the CRM system, documenting prospect interactions, demos, and progress toward sales goals.
Contract Negotiation & Closing

Prepare proposals and negotiate contract terms, balancing customer satisfaction and company objectives.

Follow up promptly on open deals to drive timely closure.
Market & Product Knowledge

Stay informed about hospitality industry trends, competitor offerings, and SMB needs to position Tripleseat effectively.

Communicate relevant market feedback to leadership and product teams to support continuous improvement.
Other Related Duties

Perform additional tasks assigned by the Senior Director, Inside Sales to support overall team objectives.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Sales Acumen: A proven record of meeting or exceeding quotas in an inside sales or comparable role.

Prospecting and Perseverance: Proven ability to manage a high volume of prospecting (100+ outbound calls per week, understanding the Tripleseat customer persona, targeting emails and social media postings to generate leads).

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver concise, engaging virtual presentations.

Software Demonstrations: Proven ability to conduct clear, compelling demonstrations of software features and benefits tailored to prospective customers’ needs.

Hospitality Understanding: Familiarity with event management or hospitality processes is highly valued.

Time Management: Ability to manage multiple sales conversations effectively, prioritizing tasks as needed.

Problem-Solving: Proficiency in identifying customer needs and offering tailored solutions to address specific challenges.

Team Collaboration: A willingness to collaborate with diverse internal teams, sharing insights that optimize the sales cycle and improve customer satisfaction.

Technical Proficiency: Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and the ability to master new software platforms quickly.

Values Alignment: A customer-focused attitude and the ability to build rapport across teams.
Preferred Experience

SaaS or Hospitality Software Sales: One to two years of experience in an inside sales capacity within a SaaS or hospitality-focused company; one year of experience as a Business Development Representative is highly valued.

SMB Market Focus: Demonstrated success in short sales cycle environments catering to SMB clients.

Event Management or Hospitality Background: Practical experience with event management, restaurant, or hotel operations.
