What we need

The Supervisor, System Reliability Integration is responsible for managing a team of field-based Reliability Engineers and overseeing the coordination and administration of deployment schedules to ensure project priorities are met. This role serves as a key liaison between project sites and internal teams, providing regular updates on project status and promptly addressing any site-level issues. As a supervisor, you will lead by example maintaining a strong on-site presence, fostering team motivation, and adapting as needed to meet customer expectations. In addition to team leadership, the role includes hands-on support, including the repair and calibration of our automated and robotic systems when required.

What we do

System Reliability Integration is part of the Deployment, Implementation and Operations Organization which is responsible for our system stand-up inside our client’s sites. The Deployment, Implementation and Operations organization drives our new system from ground-breaking to a fully operational robotic material handling system.

What you'll do

  • Lead, train, and develop the Reliability team by implementing standardized policies, processes, and procedures to ensure consistency and operational efficiency across all sites.

  • Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and mentorship, while supporting recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of both new and existing team members.

  • Coordinate weekly deployment schedules to meet project and customer priorities, and act as the primary escalation point for system issues, ensuring timely resolution in collaboration with internal teams.

  • Develop and maintain troubleshooting documentation, SOPs, and escalation protocols; partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Product, Customer Success) to identify and address ongoing system maintenance needs.

  • Ensure daily compliance with safety standards in alignment with OSHA, Symbotic, and customer site requirements.

  • Manage escalated equipment needs related to customer issues, coordinating with internal departments and product owners as needed.

  • Perform inspections, upgrades, and evaluations on the Automated Storage and Retrieval System and Symbotic’s autonomous vehicle fleet, ensuring quality, functionality, and readiness.

  • Support system uptime by adjusting, calibrating, repairing, replacing, or modifying fleet system components to maintain continuous operation.

  • Maintain advanced knowledge of Symbotic’s systems, equipment, software, and tools to support diagnostic and maintenance tasks.

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of robotic vehicle systems using schematics, wiring diagrams, and specialized test equipment.

  • Communicate production-impacting issues and solutions effectively, including estimated timeframes for corrective and emergency maintenance.

  • Adapt quickly to a dynamic, fast-paced environment, shifting priorities based on evolving business needs.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience in mechanical robotics, automation, and/or electrical/mechanical maintenance required.

  • Certification in electronics, automotive, automation, manufacturing or equivalent field preferred.

  • Brings direct leadership or managerial experience, including a minimum of 2 years overseeing and directing remote site support operations independently, without day-to-day supervision.

  • Be proficient in performing all Inspection functions.

  • High level of robotic troubleshooting (programming experience a plus) with strong electro-mechanical skills.

  • Proficient with different schematics and wiring diagrams.

  • Ability to work independent of supervisor following procedures and manuals.

  • Ability to multi-task and perform multiple job functions at once.

  • Must be literate, written and verbal, in English Language.

  • 75% travel required.

Our Environment

  • Must be able to work at heights of up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of 24 inches.

  • Subject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes. Must be capable of working in temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit.

  • Frequent ability to safely and efficiently lift items weighing up to 60lbs and move items weighing up to 80lbs.

  • Stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours.

  • All employees must make safety their top priority.
