Overview:
We’re looking for a savvy developer to join our dynamic engineering team and help build the technology that empowers customer-facing teams to maximize every interaction. As a Software Engineer II, you’ll work alongside seasoned engineers on exciting features that directly impact our customers’ success while growing your technical expertise in a collaborative environment.

Who you are:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical
  • Experienced developer with 2-4 years of professional software development experience and the ability to work independently to drive the end-to-end software development lifecycle of an architecturally complex system
  • Proficient in Ruby/Ruby on Rails and modern web development technologies, including NodeJS and Typescript, who can contribute to architectural discussions and consistently deliver clean, maintainable code that follows established patterns and best practices
  • Experience in SQL and relational database concepts, comfortable writing queries, optimizing performance, and working with database migrations and schema design

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop AI-powered features alongside a team of seasoned engineers, creating intelligent solutions that prepare our customers to maximize their customer-facing interactions
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and software engineers to rapidly build, test, and deploy innovative solutions that add value to our customers’ experience with Seismic
  • Participate in and contribute towards code reviews, quality testing, monitoring and alerting, bug/issue triage, and documentation
  • Own quality assurance responsibilities by writing comprehensive unit and integration tests, participating in QA testing cycles, identifying edge cases, and ensuring features meet functional and performance requirements before release

Seismic’s annual base salary range for this position will vary based on applicant’s location, experience, job level, skills, and abilities as well as internal equity and alignment market data.

The range listed below is the minimum to the maximum of our target hiring range.

Seismic’s salary range for this position is: $90,400 USD – $155,900 USD

This position is also eligible to participate in Seismic’s incentive plans in addition to base salary.

The actual incentive amount will very and will be subject to the terms and conditions set in the applicable incentive plan.
