Description
The Operations Process Lead plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient production operations. This individual will provide day-to-day guidance to technicians, troubleshoot issues that arise on the floor, assist with training, and communicate effectively with both the team and management. The ideal candidate is highly process- and data-driven, holds quality to the highest standard, is an effective communicator, and has strong problem-solving skills.
*This role is Friday through Monday, four 10 hour shifts*
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and support technicians in their daily tasks, ensuring adherence to established processes and quality standards.
- Identify and resolve technical or operational issues on the manufacturing floor, escalating concerns when necessary.
- Assist with technician training and provide feedback to management on individual technician performance to determine when retraining is needed.
- Work with management and other cross functional teams to implement improvement plans for training, work instructions, & other production processes
- Optimize labor allocation by redirecting team members as needed to meet production goals & maintain an efficient workflow
- Facilitate the smooth transition of information between shifts to ensure continuity in production.
- Work closely with leadership to proactively identify and mitigate potential bottlenecks, production challenges, & team performance
Education and Experience
- A minimum 4 years of high level experience in a manufacturing, production, or distribution environment
- Bachelors or Associates degree is preferred but not required
Required Qualification & Skills
- Ability to effectively communicate performance expectations to a team & relay any relevant information to management.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Process- and data-driven mindset with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to work with cross functional teams (production, hardware, and software teams).
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- HAZMAT OSHA Certified
- Experience with QuickSight, Jira, and/or GitHub is a plus.
- Understanding and execution of 5S & LEAN manufacturing principles is preferred.
- Leadership experience or the ability to guide and support a team is a plus.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to sit or stand,
use hands, reach with hands and arms, see, listen, and speak. - The ability to lift 50 lbs
