The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

This is a Boston based position with a hybrid work schedule of 2 days per week in office.
Liberty Mutual’s Early Talent Acquisition & Engagement Programs is seeking an innovative and collaborative Early Talent Recruiter to support our Finance organization. This role is responsible for providing full lifecycle execution of early talent recruitment activities; develop relationships with universities and professional associations to build an inclusive talent pipeline that meets the needs of our workforce plans, create and execute engaging recruitment events, and consult and execute on selection processes. You’ll collaborate closely with other early talent recruiters and program managers to ensure a cohesive recruitment strategy, streamline the onboarding process, and enhance the overall candidate experience, while fostering an inclusive environment that attracts top talent.
The Details:
- Plans and executes on-campus recruiting events to promote the Liberty Mutual brand, employer value proposition, and full range of available opportunities across the organization. Manage all event logistics and partnering with SBUs and Corporate Functions to secure appropriate Liberty Mutual representatives for events.
- Travel frequently (up to 50%) during fall and spring recruiting seasons, with occasional evening and weekend commitments.
- Cultivates a talent pipeline for various internships and entry level positions based on business need. Actively sources candidates from target sources as required. Utilizes appropriate technology to collect, screen, and share resumes. Serves as primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruiting process.
- Pipelines candidates to appropriate roles based on best fit between individual’s capabilities and hiring needs of different SBUs and Corporate Functions. Identifies candidates qualified for multiple positions and guides them through the recruiting process.
- Facilitates a clear understanding of Liberty Mutual’s hiring processes, including application, screening, interviewing, and selection. Provides all candidates with timely communications at regular intervals through all stages of the recruiting process, ensuring a favorable candidate experience regardless of selection decisions.
- Facilitates seamless experience between candidates and aligned SBU functions. Ensures seamless handoffs between sourcing/screening, interview/selection, and hiring decision communication stages of the process.
- Manages full life cycle recruiting process, providing feedback, reporting, data, and consulting/influencing stakeholders on best practices.
- Partners with Intern Program Manager and any aligned business partners to execute Internship Programming.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the business strategies within Liberty Mutual which inform the overall campus recruiting strategy and approach.
Qualifications
What you’ve got:
- Bachelor’s degree (in Business, Human Resources or related discipline) or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of full lifecycle early talent recruiting (or other relevant) experience on a national, multi-location basis
- An advanced level of knowledge in full lifecycle campus recruiting components including successfully sourcing an inclusive pipeline of applicants, planning and executing events and programs, managing selection processes, interviewing, salary negotiation, offer decisions, and pre-boarding
- Experience developing internal and external relationships with stakeholders including hiring managers, senior leaders, candidates, and university and professional association contacts.
- Experience in fast-paced, high-volume settings requiring a sense of urgency, with demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrates a growth mindset with an openness to receive constructive feedback, and maintain adaptability and flexibility
- Experience with proactive sourcing techniques and ability to utilize technology to source and build talent pipelines.
- Strong organizational, time management and process management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive the selection process while successfully managing a high-volume workload.
- Strong written and oral communication skills necessary to effectively work with hiring managers, candidates, and external contacts
- Knowledge of and prior experience with web-based applicant tracking and sourcing systems (e.g. iCIMS, LinkedIn, Handshake, etc.)
