The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Description of this role:

Liberty Mutual’s Small Commercial Product Team is looking for a Sr Analyst/Consultant for a high-visibility opportunity to be a direct and key contributor to our profit and growth goals by driving insights to the results of our large product roll outs. You will be responsible for determining key KPIs with business stakeholders, collaborating with the Data office to build out our analytical needs, owning our monitoring suite, and leveraging your analytical expertise to bring forward key insights to influence action.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have an analytical aptitude with the ability to execute complex analysis, proactively identify trends, and make recommendations
  • Have technical skills in data analysis and visualization tools such as data analysis software (ex. SAS or SQL), PowerBI, and Excel
  • Demonstrate a natural curiosity and independent problem solving
  • Intermediate knowledge of insurance products
  • Exhibit project management, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Be proactive, curious, autonomous and willing to influence others
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in business, information management, economics, or another quantitative field
  • Have a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics or Insurance preferred; or equivalent experience
  • Approx 5 or more years related work experience
  • Knowledge of insurance principles and concepts required
  • Advanced analytical/problem solving and research skills
  • Effective communication skills for writing reports/proposals and making presentations
  • Ability to work independently and lead others during projects
  • Knowledge of the business practices and processes
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and data base software
