Our Risk Engineering team works closely with our customers to help them identify, quantify, mitigate, or eliminate serious threats to their businesses. In the process, we help fulfill Liberty Mutual Insurance’s mission of helping people live safer, more secure lives. Liberty Mutual Insurance is currently hiring for our Entry Level Associate Consultant position.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn the fundamentals of risk engineering and commercial property insurance through training and mentorship.
  • Assist in research, data collection, and analysis to support recommendations for controlling sources of risk, loss, and/or costs.
  • Shadow experienced engineers during customer site visits and observe risk assessments in real-world settings.
  • Contribute to projects that improve overall risk quality for our clients.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical, Fire Protection, or related field).
  • Strong academic record.
  • Interest in learning property insurance products, services, and risk engineering concepts (risk assessment, risk analysis, solutions management, progress measurement, etc.).
  • Effective written, oral, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and customers.
  • Ability to conduct research and analyze data.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for learning opportunities.

Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
