The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Description

We seek a dynamic and strategic professional to join our Agency Distribution Solutions team as a solutions partner to the DRC and Comparion Insurance Agency. In this role, you will serve as a key liaison between internal business units and our agency partners, driving operational excellence through innovative technology, streamlined processes, and insightful problem-solving. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to coach and develop a small team of project managers or analysts with a people-first mindset. As a trusted advisor and subject matter expert (SME) in agency technology and distribution solutions, you will lead initiatives to enhance the agency experience, optimize workflow and efficiencies, and support the successful implementation of new systems and capabilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze Agency Operations: Thoroughly assess current processes, workflows, and systems to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost reduction. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying challenges and opportunities, using data to inform decisions.
  • Develop Optimization Strategies: Create and implement plans to address identified inefficiencies, including process improvements, technology adoption, and employee training. A successful candidate will be innovative and resourceful, with a track record of developing effective, data-driven strategies.
  • Implement New Processes and Technologies: Oversee the implementation of new systems, tools, and procedures to streamline operations and enhance productivity. The candidate should have hands-on experience in change management and a knack for guiding teams through transitions smoothly.
  • Measure and Track Performance: Establish metrics to monitor the impact of optimization efforts and ensure that goals are being achieved. The ideal individual will be detail-oriented and adept at using analytical skills to track progress and report on outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with agency leadership, team members, and vendors to ensure smooth and successful implementation of changes. An ideal candidate will excel in building relationships, possessing effective communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration across diverse groups.
  • Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Keep abreast of new technologies, best practices, and industry trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be passionate about the insurance industry and committed to lifelong learning and professional development.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with proven experience in the insurance industry, including a thorough understanding of insurance products, policies, and processes for Personal Lines, Small Commercial, and Life Insurance. They will demonstrate:

  • Project Management Skills: Expertise in managing projects, tracking progress, and ensuring timely completion, with a focus on delivering results.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with relevant software and technology solutions, including but not limited to Applied Epic, Salesforce, and third-party quoting platforms, allowing for effective implementation and training.
  • Prior Agency Experience: Required experience working directly with independent agencies or equivalent experience, providing valuable insights into agency operations and challenges.

Qualifications

  • Expert-level ability in managing all aspects of the project management life cycle for multiple projects at one time to include those complex in nature.
  • Project management certification strongly preferred.
  • Solid ability to select, develop and engage employees.
  • Strong ability to exercise influence and build consensus; communication skills; promote collaboration, teamwork and change initiatives; and to build value for customers through a service orientation, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Displays strong business acumen and integrated thinking.
  • Advanced business operations knowledge to include understanding the function’s value chain and market conditions strongly preferred.
  • Competencies typically acquired through a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience to include project management work and prior experience working in an effective leadership and/or management capacity.
