The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Description
Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking an experienced AI Product Manager to drive our Enterprise AI capability vision, strategy, and roadmap. In this role, you will help shape Liberty Mutual’s AI strategy, including co-supporting our enterprise GenAI program. The Enterprise Data & Data Science (ED&DS) Product team was established to provide centralized support and expertise to data science teams across our global organization. Our focus areas include AI/ML technology, Responsible AI, data science best practices, and DS/AI enablement and acceleration. Responsibilities:
- Enterprise Direction
- Lead and partner in driving the Enterprise AI Capability Roadmap by staying informed of technical and business needs through close collaboration with DS/AI subject matter experts (SMEs), Business Product, and Technology teams, to support Liberty Mutual’s top AI initiatives.
- Track Liberty Mutual’s top AI initiatives and drive transparency on scale progress, blockers, and acceleration needs.
- AI Capability Execution
- Lead (and partner with) cross-functional teams executing enterprise AI capabilities to ensure seamless delivery, with a focus on GenAI, deep learning, NLP, CV, etc.
- AI Best Practices
- Prioritize AI research and partner with data science SMEs across the enterprise to inform best practices and future technology needs.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of recent experience as a Product Manager in a technology-driven field, preferably with direct exposure to AI product management for Director I.
- A minimum of 10 years of recent experience as a Product Manager in a technology-driven field, preferably with direct exposure to AI product management for Director II.
- Understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and related technologies.
- Excellent communication, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and team-building skills, along with proven expertise in directing agile teams.
- Experience influencing product strategy at a senior level and leading organizational change.
- Ability to create and foster consensus for a coherent product vision across the enterprise.
The actual internal level/grade for this role will depend on the candidate’s overall experience and skill level
- Director I, Data Science Product Management: $139,500-$197,500 Annual FTO days (Flexible Time Off): 20
- Director II, Data Science Product Management: $160,500 – $226,000 Annual FTO days (Flexible Time Off): 20
