The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

**This position may have in-office requirements depending on candidate location. This is a range posting. Level of position offered will be based on skills and experience at manager discretion.**

The Property & Specialty Program Delivery team is looking for a Consultant or Assistant Director to be a key contributor to USRM profit and growth goals in a collaborative team environment. You will be responsible for independently driving state implementations to support countrywide pricing program rollouts across the P&S portfolio within the Homeowners, Landlord, Condo, and Umbrella lines of business. This work includes determining product scope, defining requirements according to state regulations and strategy, executing analytical and technical expertise, and proactively communicating with key stakeholders for end-to-end state rollouts.

The foundational knowledge of our property and specialty rating programs and connections to other parts of the organization gained during Delivery Analyst roles provide a solid foundation for a robust path across Product or USRM!

In this role you will:

  • Fully own and execute on assigned moderate to complex state implementations of the latest personal lines property & specialty insurance pricing programs.
  • Gather and document product requirements, clearly communicate requirements to stakeholders, and ensure accurate implementation.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for the pricing program and assigned states, provide thoughtful recommendations that influence state decisions and help drive strategy.
  • Lead cross-functional workstreams and manage moderate to high complexity projects.
  • Conduct complex analyses to drive and support business decisions.
  • Educate IT partners on business requirements and plan, and both IT and business partners on the impact of pricing program changes.
  • Independently manage project timelines, flag risks, and develop contingency plans, escalating blockers as appropriate.
  • Regularly update leadership and stakeholders on project progress, addressing concerns and managing communication channels.
  • Mentor less experienced analysts as appropriate.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong technical aptitude with experience in SAS and/or SQL, Excel, PowerBI, and data visualization.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts, processes, and tools quickly.
  • A keen eye for process improvement, with a proven track record of proactively identifying and driving forward change.
  • Ability to work through ambiguity, think critically, and influence others to drive quick and sound decision-making.
  • Intermediate knowledge of insurance pricing is a plus as well as experience in Personal Lines Property/Specialty or Product Management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information management, economics, or other quantitative field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years, typically 6 years or more of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledgeable in data query languages and tools; proficient in new and emerging technologies; may possess data modeling skills.
  • Highly developed communication and presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of data concepts, strategies, and methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of data architectures, solutions and designs; extensive knowledge of business operations, strategies and objectives.
  • Highly developed negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills.
