Are you passionate about using advanced analytics to create tangible business impact, influence strategic decision-making, and deliver measurable PTOI results? Join us on our exciting journey to build the Fraud Hub Analytics team within our US Retail Markets (USRM) operating unit and play a pivotal role in shaping the results of fraud detection and prevention.
In this high-visibility, high-impact Analytics Assistant Director role, you will be at the primary analytics leader responsible for using data-driven insights to accelerate our fraud detection and prevention for the Distribution and Internal Claims domains. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise (advanced coding skills and working with large datasets) and coding expertise with a collaborative, ?hand-in-glove? partnership with the aligned Fraud Hub director. You will have a unique opportunity to build domain-specific analytics capabilities from the ground up, develop a robust lead generation pipeline, and deliver fast-moving insights to empower the Central Fraud Hub (CFH) to protect USRM’s bottom line. Your success will create immediate impact in areas with under-served analytics coverage, starting with Safeco agent fraud leads.
Key Responsibilities
- Dedicate 70% of your time developing, coding and testing scenarios of effective fraud leads for investigation by our Fraud Hub partners, using advanced data analysis techniques and tools (e.g. Snowflake, SAS, SQL, PowerBI)
- Elevate investigation success by closely partnering with Fraud Hub leaders on strategic priorities and collaborating with Data Science and Reporting partners to integrate your insights into impactful dashboards and modeling solutions
- Develop a clear framework that defines how we value potential leads for the 4 core fraud domains aligned to your ownership: external agent fraud internal sales rep fraud, and claims employee and vendor fraud
- Lead the monthly operational review (MOR) by developing impactful operational health metrics and data-driven storytelling insights that uncover key performance drivers and empower stakeholders with actionable recommendations
- Define best-in-class standards for fraud analytics excellence, institutionalize domain-specific business and technical expertise, drive build-once-reuse-many framework, and evolve the role into a working manager role with 1-2 subsequent direct reports within a year
Qualifications
What are the performance expectations?.
- Prior experience in the insurance or fraud industry is required
- Proven ability to tackle high complexity analysis with minimal direction, experience with Distribution and employee data is a strong plus
- Manage and set expectations proactively & independently across concurring workstreams, ensuring full engagement of identified stakeholders
- Exhibit mastery of subject matter with the ability to communicate insights through effective data storytelling tailored to different audiences
- Champion continuous improvement by developing resources and institutionalizing knowledge; prior experience managing direct reports or rotational resources (such as interns or ADP participants) is preferred

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
