Pay Philosophy

The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

We have an incredible opportunity for a passionate agile leader to join our team as an Agile Methodology Lead! The mission – To work across teams and business units to ensure that Product Owners and Analysts are equipped with the tools and knowledge to thrive and adopt to an agile and product operating model environment within their roles. You’ll help design and maintain training programs, develop, inspire and coach colleagues and teams to align with our transformative goals. Responsibilities

  • Leads the design, development, implementation and iterative refinement of the agile and/or product owner methodologies and practices. Aligns methodology with design thinking principles and success criteria for customer centric products. Owns and maintains the playbooks for Agile oversee methodology and capability building. Practices, aligning with design thinking and agile methodologies.
  • Acts as an active champion of agile methodology works closely with executives, business unit leaders, product owners, and technology teams to advance the awareness and adoption of agile principles and standards, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversees and maintains methodology playbooks develops strategies for business unit adoption of those methodologies and ongoing development of customer-centric agile capabilities within business units. Initiates and fosters collaborative partnerships required for training and coaching develops relationships that support organizational agility.
  • Leads the development of methodology training to enable smooth transformation and broaden overall awareness across business units. Initiates and fosters collaborative partnerships required for training and coaching develops relationships that support organizational agility.
  • May coach senior leaders and other agile coaches through agile transformation, helping to ensure alignment with established methodologies and transformation goals. Assists in the identification and solution of organizational impediments which limit teams` customer centricity, productivity, and/or quality.
  • Tracks and shares customer-centric agile best practices develops and maintains a network of relevant practitioner contacts performs or directs research to remain current on industry and competitor practices.

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of Agile development methodologies, design thinking principles, product management, and/or business processes, as typically acquired through a Bachelors` degree in a relevant field (business, computer science, etc) and a minimum of 6-8 years` of relevant work experience
  • Master`s degree preferred
  • Previous experience as a scrum master or product owner required
  • Knowledge of relevant domains/ products/ journeys preferred
  • Agile certifications such as Agile Certified Practitioner or similar preferred
  • Proven experience with agile methods, preferably implementing large-scale transformations in different contexts
  • Ability to foster and encourage teamwork and productive working relationships with stakeholders at all levels and across organizational lines, solid repertoire of coaching techniques including for executive audiences
  • Strong communication skills with ability to align organization on decisions, advanced knowledge of management concepts, practices and techniques
