The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
Description
This USRM Claims Technology team is responsible for providing the best possible experience for millions of customers, on what could be one of the worst days of their lives. No one likes to submit a claim – it means something went wrong. Our team is here to make whatever is going on in that person’s life as stress free as possible.
Qualifications
Throughout this internship, you’ll be given the opportunity to work on core business objectives aligned to your interests and skills, each designed to target a core technology stack that will expose you to foundational elements of software engineering. Focusing on the I Manage My Claim platform, you’ll utilize a modified Design Thinking process to provide structure to your work as you help investigate and build a unified experience for both Auto and Property customers. This app is used directly by our customers and walks them through the end-to-end process of managing their claim. You’ll be embedded on the “Mad Props” squad, consisting of 5 senior and principal engineers, in a primarily front-end development team.
This team uses a mix of technologies and tools: React, Node, Typescript, Java.
