The Creative Strategist is the client-facing creative subject-matter expert responsible for leading creative discovery, communicating creative strategy across channels, overseeing QA standards, and presenting creative recommendations and performance insights. This role connects creative decisions directly to enrollment marketing goals and ensures the creative team operates with clarity, consistency, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Lead creative discovery and translate insights into clear, actionable concepts, messaging strategies, and visual direction.
- Serve as the creative subject-matter expert in client meetings, presenting recommendations, findings, and creative testing insights.
- Build, implement, and oversee creative quality assurance processes across copy, design, and production workflows.
- Partner with campaign delivery teams to ensure creative aligns with audience strategy, funnel objectives, and platform-specific best practices.
- Develop and maintain creative briefs, templates, and documentation that standardize execution and improve efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for creative testing and collaborate on test design, execution, and performance review.
- Drive adoption of AI-enabled tools to enhance creative efficiency, support variant generation, and scale output.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in creative strategy, marketing, or agency environments, with direct client-facing responsibilities.
- Experience working in higher education marketing, enrollment marketing agencies, or university settings strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to translate client needs, brand identity, and objectives into effective creative strategies.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with confidence engaging directly with client stakeholders.
- Highly organized and process-oriented, with experience developing standards, templates, and QA workflows.
- Familiarity with creative testing methodologies and performance-driven optimization.
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools within creative workflows to improve efficiency and scale output.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and able to lead through ambiguity while maintaining high quality standards.
