The Affiliate Marketing Lead is responsible for building, launching, and scaling Klaviyo's affiliate marketing program to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth. You'll develop a comprehensive affiliate strategy, establish our presence on key platforms, and cultivate relationships with a diverse ecosystem of partners – from influencers and content creators to agencies and developers. This high-visibility role balances strategic planning with hands-on execution, working cross-functionally to deliver measurable business impact. As Klaviyo continues its growth trajectory, this position offers a unique opportunity to shape a critical customer acquisition channel from the ground up.

 

How You'll Make a Difference

 

Build and Launch Klaviyo's Affiliate Program:

  • Develop the strategic roadmap, infrastructure, and operational processes for Klaviyo's affiliate marketing program
  • Select and implement appropriate affiliate platforms and tracking technologies
  • Design and optimize commission structures and incentive programs to maximize partner performance and program ROI

Grow and Diversify the Partner Ecosystem:

  • Identify, recruit, and onboard diverse affiliate partners including influencers, micro-agencies, developers, creators, advisors, bloggers, and content creators
  • Create targeted outreach strategies for different partner segments
  • Develop specialized programs to address unique needs of various partner types

Drive Partner Success and Engagement:

  • Create comprehensive onboarding materials, enablement resources, and promotional assets to set partners up for success
  • Implement a partner communications strategy to maintain engagement and share program updates
  • Develop strong relationships with top-performing affiliates to optimize performance and increase program loyalty

Execute Results-Driven Campaigns:

  • Collaborate with partners to design and launch high-impact promotional campaigns aligned with Klaviyo's marketing calendar
  • Implement effective tracking and attribution models to accurately measure performance across customer journey touchpoints
  • Continuously optimize campaigns based on performance data and partner feedback

Ensure Program Compliance and Quality:

  • Establish clear guidelines and monitor affiliate activities to ensure brand safety and regulatory compliance
  • Implement quality control processes to maintain program integrity
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams on terms, conditions, and regulatory requirements

Optimize Program Performance:

  • Build comprehensive reporting and analytics to track key program metrics and KPIs
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and optimization strategies
  • Provide actionable insights to both partners and internal stakeholders
  • Forecast and manage program budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation for maximum ROI

Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to align affiliate initiatives with broader business goals
  • Serve as the internal advocate for affiliate marketing and educate stakeholders on program value and performance
  • Collaborate on integrated marketing campaigns that leverage the affiliate channel
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

 

Who You Are

 

  • 8-12 years of marketing experience, with significant focus on affiliate/partner marketing
  • Proven track record building and scaling successful affiliate programs, preferably in SaaS, e-commerce, or marketing technology
  • Experience with major affiliate networks and platforms (Impact, PartnerStack, Rakuten, CJ Affiliate, etc.)
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to optimize program performance and demonstrate ROI
  • Deep understanding of affiliate marketing attribution models and tracking technologies
  • Experience creating compelling content and resources to drive affiliate engagement and performance
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory considerations in affiliate marketing
  • Ability to translate complex technical products into compelling affiliate marketing opportunities
  • Experience integrating affiliate programs with broader marketing strategies
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with diverse partner types
  • Exceptional communication skills for engaging both internal and external stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience accepted

Our salary range reflects the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all our US locations. The base salary offered for this position is determined by several factors, including the applicant’s job-related skills, relevant experience, education or training, and work location.

In addition to base salary, our total compensation package may include participation in the company’s annual cash bonus plan, variable compensation (OTE) for sales and customer success roles, equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility. $128,000$192,000 USD
