About the Team & Role:
At Klaviyo, the Brand & Creative Team in Marketing is a diverse, ambitious group of inquisitive, thinkers, passionate creators, and innovative strategists. We like to think we’re a pretty fun and flexible bunch, too. During any one day, we’re building new systems, expressing our evolving brand across web, social, events, and beyond– all in the service of delivering a remarkable brand experience at every touchpoint. But there’s so much work to do. So, that’s where you come in. We’re looking for a skilled motion designer who will collaborate on, concept, and create bold and beautiful, human-centric motion design across owned and digital platforms. Our newest team member will wake up each day thinking about holistic video and motion systems for the Klaviyo brand, rooted in showcasing our product and customer experiences. You’ll design and deliver content that helps explain, entertain, inspire and showcase innovation, often in a single video. This is a pivotal moment for Klaviyo and its brand experience. We’re eager to push boundaries, try new things, create scalable systems, and deliver the best work of our careers. Sound like fun?

How You’ll Make a Difference:
Driven. Proven, yet ever-improving. Strategic, but speedy. You thrive in fast-paced, often complex environments and know how to own a project and (over)deliver on expectations. Experience building successful, scalable motion design systems, short and longer-form. Customer/audience centricity drives you, and you keep accessibility and inclusivity top of mind, always. You know how to deliver culturally relevant, eye-catching content that feels of the moment. Grew up in graphic design and continue to grow within the discipline. A pixel-perfect person, who’s obsessed with the details and ensures polished, consistent, and cohesive deliverables. Continuously curious and passionate about sharing your latest learnings with others.

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years as a motion designer, in-house or agency, crafting experiences across web, CTV, OOH, and other digital platforms.
  • Expertise in motion and UX design with a portfolio showcasing high-quality animations and digital design work.
  • Proficiency in modern design and animation tools, including Figma, After Effects, Rive, Lottie, and GSAP.
  • Strong grasp of motion principles, user-centered design, typography, and usability best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain design decisions and collaborate with stakeholders effectively.
  • A problem-solving mindset—able to transform complex ideas into seamless, engaging animations.
  • Adaptable and curious, always learning and exploring emerging tools, techniques, and technologies, including AI-enhanced workflows.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a fast-paced SaaS environment, ideally spanning both B2B and B2C.
  • Background in storytelling-driven motion design that blends aesthetics with functionality.
  • Exposure to 3D design (C4D, Blender, Spline) and/or WebGL for immersive experiences.
  • Familiarity with front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
