Why You Should Join the Signup Forms Team:

As an Engineering Manager joining the Signup Forms team you will be deeply involved in technical design discussions and implementation of our Signup Forms product and other adjacent product areas.  You will own the technical output of the team, grow and mentor the engineers on the team and collaborate with Product, Design and Product Analytics to ensure that we build features that contribute to the core North Star metric of the team.

The Signup Forms team is the owner of Klaviyo’s Forms Product.  This includes the editing experience, the Form Template Library, delivering and rendering forms on customers’ websites, measuring the impact of the forms and reporting. This is a full stack team and is responsible for a highly scalable, distributed system.  This team not only focuses on building intuitive and powerful interfaces to create highly customizable and eye-catching content, it is also responsible for delivering this content to the customers’ websites. This product area is core to Klaviyo’s continued success.

There are ample opportunities for growth given the scope of this role and the team’s central role in Klaviyo’s product.  This role is stemming from growth in this product area.

As an Engineering Manager, you will  have ownership of the team’s mission, goals, and roadmap while collaborating along-side technical product owners and product managers. Together, you'll define scope and specifications while refining RFCs to ensure deliverables are met and stability and quality is maintained.

The technical stack used by the team is: Typescript, React, Python, Django and MySQL.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Drive dramatic growth in one of Klaviyo’s core product areas.
  • Lead a growing team with between 7 to 12 direct reports.
  • Leverage AI for content generation and optimization.
  • Have the opportunity to get hands on with the code, honing your technical expertise to support and mentor your team.
  • Guide system design and implementation trade-offs with business partners and your team.
  • Identify the critical path forward and map that into a plan for your team.
  • Iterate and improve upon processes within your team and across the entire engineering department (i.e. recruiting, performance reviews, project planning, and more)
  • Drive complex projects with a team of great people which meaningfully contribute to our customers’ experience and Klaviyo’s success.
Who You Are
  • You have 9+ years of engineering experience, including 3–4 years directly managing engineering teams.
  • You have experience leading full stack development on SaaS products, with strong hands-on skills in Python and TypeScript.
  • You have experience building and scaling cloud-based systems using infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • You’ve managed teams of 6+ engineers, including remote and local team members, and you actively contribute by picking up tickets and writing production code when needed.
  • You have experience leading complex, multi-quarter projects that involve cross-functional collaboration and drive product impact.
  • You’ve worked closely with product and executive stakeholders, contributing to roadmap planning and prioritization.
  • You have experience mentoring engineers, giving performance reviews, and helping team members grow through clear feedback and support.
  • You understand what it takes to build for scale—leveraging queues, caches, CDNs, and background workers—and have experience making thoughtful technical tradeoffs.
  • You’ve owned or contributed to a team’s technical roadmap and can align engineering decisions with both technical and business goals.
