Payroll Analyst

Job Summary
The Payroll Analyst is an important role in Imprivata’s Human Resources Department. This role requires accuracy and timeliness with a focus on meeting deadlines. This role has a great deal of interaction with a diverse group of internal clients at all levels of the organization in a fast-paced and growing organization. This position is responsible for the technical elements of payroll, taxes, garnishments, and W-2 year end filings. Taking initiative, discretion, and confidentiality are key aspects for this role.
Duties and Responsibilities

Process the semi-monthly, bi-weekly, and off-cycle payrolls including, validation, processing, and submission of payroll data for U.S. exempt and non-exempt employees.

Assist with the processing of international payrolls in accordance with local labor laws and tax regulations.

Resolve complex payroll processing and employee issues.

Assist with providing payroll-related information, audit requests, and verification of employment requests.

Handle payroll tax notices and garnishment notices, as needed.

Administer monthly, annual and ad hoc reporting to for the HR team, as necessary

Applies for and sets up withholding taxes in new states.

Support year-end and quarter-end processes, including W-2s and international tax forms as applicable.

Present payroll information during employee new hire orientation.

Monitor changes in local payroll laws and regulations across all applicable jurisdictions.

Other duties as assigned and required.
General HR Responsibilities

Participates in employee onboarding responsibilities (gathering paperwork, presenting HRIS/Payroll information at new hire orientation program).

Assist in maintaining electronic employee files.

Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.

Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance or related discipline or equivalent experience in a professional environment.

4+ years of experience of payroll preparation for a multi-location organization with domestic payrolls.

Experience with international payroll processing is preferred.

Proficient with ADP Workforce Now and time/attendance systems required; experience with ADP Celergo and Vistra OsC preferred.

Solid knowledge of state and federal payroll tax laws and garnishments.

Advanced skill with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Ability to prioritize, be detail oriented, multi-task and have good organization skills.

Keen focus on accuracy, timeliness, reactiveness and have a customer service approach.
