The Web Development Intern will support the web development and documentation teams by accurately converting documents to web formats, assisting with documentation publishing, and learning best practices for web development, SEO, and content management within the Formlabs support ecosystem. This Intern will do so by enhancing Formlabs' support documentation and training materials through web development, SEO optimization, and content publication workflows.

Internship Term: Fall 2025 (approx. September 8 – December 19)
Commitment:
Part-time
Location: Onsite in Somerville, MA
Application Requirements:
A portfolio showcasing basic web development skills

The Job:

  • Convert existing documents (PDFs, Word Documents) into HTML format for the support site
  • Publish documentation updates and new articles on support.formlabs.com
  • Assist in applying basic SEO principles and web accessibility best practices to content
  • Learn and apply web technologies (HTML, CSS, basic JS) and publishing workflows
  • Collaborate with the team and follow established procedures and quality standards

You:

  • Demonstrable understanding of HTML and CSS fundamentals through coursework, personal projects, or a portfolio
  • Strong ability and eagerness to quickly learn new software (like a CMS), technical procedures, and web development concepts
  • Understanding of fundamental web principles (how browsers render pages, client-side basics)
  • Able to manage a high level of detail given a large amount of data

Bonus skills:

  • Basic exposure to or introductory understanding of JavaScript concepts
