The Crown Is Yours

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Global Data, the Vice President of Advanced Analytics & Data Science will be leading and building a global team of world-class data scientists and technical professionals to help DraftKings reach its vision of providing its fans the world’s best gaming and betting experiences.

You will be responsible for developing & executing the strategy for our Advanced Analytics & Data Science organization and determining a path for and delivering capabilities to power each of our business/product areas at scale. It's crucial that you are forward-thinking, broadly technical, influential and carry a strong bias for action.

What you’ll do as a Vice President, Advanced Analytics & Data Science

  • Guide and inspire the organization about the business potential of Advanced Analytics / Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Data Science

  • Collaborate closely with leaders in Product Management, Analytics, Compliance & Operations to identify data-driven/ML business opportunities within DraftKings

  • Develop, drive, and execute the strategic and tactical vision & goals for advanced analytics & data science with a keen focus on building capabilities that encompass people, processes & technology. Ensure the organization has the capabilities to meet the company’s ambitious goals.

  • Modernize our Data Science infrastructure so that we are able to scale effectively with the rapid growth of the organization.

  • Build, scale and manage a high-performing team across advanced analytics & data science.

What you’ll bring

  • Demonstrated experience in applying advanced analytics & data science to solve complex business problems.

  • Deep knowledge of machine learning, quantitative methods, predictive modelling, and other analytics frameworks and techniques

  • Demonstrated history of building and scaling advanced analytics & data science capabilities including people, process & technology.

  • Track record of driving a data driven culture powered by advanced analytics at companies of similar size and complexity

  • History of leading or partnering with analytics, with a keen focus on enabling high-impact analytics

  • Deep experience perfecting the right processes and workflows needed to scale data and engineering organizations, while expanding into new markets and products

  • Experience in data heavy environments required; experience in gaming/lifestyle consumer technologies appreciated

We’re a publicly traded (NASDAQ: DKNG) technology company headquartered in Boston. The US base salary range for this full-time position is 266,800.00 USD – 333,500.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The compensation information displayed on each job posting reflects the range for new hire pay rates for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
