The Crown Is Yours
As a Data Engineer on the Data Enablement team, you’ll help build the infrastructure that powers how teams across DraftKings discover, understand, and trust their data. You’ll design scalable solutions to improve metadata accuracy, data quality, and governance ensuring analytics and reporting are not only reliable but impactful. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering and usability, giving you the chance to shape how data is documented, monitored, and accessed across the business. You’ll collaborate with engineering and business partners alike to unlock new ways of delivering trusted data at scale.
What You’ll Do

Build and support scripts, APIs, and data integrations that connect internal tools and data sources.

Partner with Data Engineering, IT, and business teams to help implement data quality rules, monitoring, and alerting processes.

Contribute to the curation and maintenance of the enterprise data catalog, helping ensure metadata is accurate, discoverable, and useful for end users.

Support data governance efforts focused on protecting customer personal information, helping ensure data is handled, documented, and used responsibly across data platforms.

Help define and implement reusable patterns for collecting, validating, and maintaining metadata across data platforms.

Contribute to foundational work that supports DraftKings’ Semantic Data Layer, including consistent definitions, lineage, and metadata that can be leveraged by analytics tools and AI-powered experiences.
What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.

At least one year of working with data pipelines and integrations using Python.

Familiarity with analyzing data flows and dependencies, and contributing to reliable data solutions.

Exposure to modern data platforms and tools such as Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka, Terraform, PagerDuty, Datadog, Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.

Working knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data lakes, and basic data modeling principles.

Familiarity with ETL/ELT concepts and data pipeline development.

Interest in how metadata, semantics, and governance enable AI-driven analytics and intelligent data discovery.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is 101,600.00 USD – 127,000.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The compensation information displayed on each job posting reflects the range for new hire pay rates for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
